Thanks. Yea I try to work on the car when I find time between having the house built and a 5 month old boy. Hopefully I can have the whole front suspension built up by the end of the day and throw up some more pics

Good stuff! I plan on doing the same!Super fresh and straight cut you got. Pipe cutter?

I look forward on seeing more progress on the M3 panels, very curious on the C-Pillar which seems to be the tissy to find in sheet metal!

havn't then you lost the structural integrity that stops the quarter edge from being bent inwards.

I had machine shop cut the pipe. I believe he was going to use the mill or lathe. I welded it once I got it back from him. He really took off about a 1-1/16" and I gapped it about 1/16 when I welded it back together. As of right now I am going with the fiberglass c-pillar unless I come across a metal one soon. My plan is to trim to where it fits perfect and use hi-loks across the roof and panel bond around the whole thing. I might make some brackets along the section by the trunk to stiffen up that area. I need to figure out my gaps for the trunk and c-pillar so if anyone with an m3 can take some measurements that would be great. I need to know how high the trunk sits off of the quarter panel (gap between trunk and quarter panel) this way I can set the c-pillar and it will be in line.

I'm following all conversions closely as I have been collecting parts since I want to build a bastard M3 2JZ project.

Anywho, I have this photos. It may help. Are you happy with the current pillar? I emailed those people too. There's several selling C-Pillars. I dont mind paying for the highest quality one. I have a someone searching germany for a wrecked M3 aswell. Hopefully it will turn something up.

I'll do the same and take the strut over to a MC and ill do the welding. I dont have the tools to make that nice a cut.

                    Keep up the good work!

That is exactly the dimensions I need in the picture. Gap between c-pillar and quarter panel. The pesche c-pillar is fair structurally and good cosmetically. It has a nice gel coat finish but would obviously need to be smoothed with primer and possibly some bondo. I'm going to primer it first with a envirobase dp90lv high build primer before I fill anything. Like I said before it needs some brackets in curtain areas to stiffen it up. At the end of the day I will make to where you couldn't tell the difference between this one and a metal one.

Sachs "618" pressure plate, KEP 4 puck sintered disk, and stock flywheel.
(eventually will lighten and balance flywheel)
