It's technically a Bmw... My daily build.

What size are the stock mini wheels on there. Might not look all that bad on an E30. -

Laughed at the bear riding the e30 in the first pic in last post... That salt is gross stuff!Leave a comment:

Lol wut, you bought a mini? That's interesting I guess. I've got the cooling system pressure adapter for those things if it springs a mystery leak again btw.
Also, hope and pray that you never need to do the clutch on that thing... it's like, a 12 hour job. With a lift. And all the right tools. Basically, you're gonna have a bad time.Leave a comment:

Helped replace my friends starter last night.
Outside.
Was cold.
Tonight I finally got the car in a warm garage to take a closer look.

Now, no pictures because I'm an idiot, but as I suspected, the short hose which connects directly to the top radiator hose is not at all a close fit. Luckily in my friends pile of spare parts was an e36 hose that fir very snugly and after some cutting was a perfect fit. Got the system bled and everything is working perfectly.
Also here is a random picture of the Alta intake on the car, and the little piece I finally received.

so when is the v8 swap?
I feel really bad for you. All that snow made me shiverLeave a comment:

So I did some snow drifting

Got the car even more dirty, thanks to the state of Maryland and their excessive salt use.

Moved some stuff

Then pulled it in the garage to take the window stickers off for inspection, and do a real quick interior clean. I didn't want to spend much time on it until winter ends, but it was driving me crazy!
some before/ afters

That's it for now, this week I need to raise it up for inspection, as well as fix the steering wheel position, clear the airbag code and clean up the strut tower tops.Leave a comment:

I actually agree with you. It won't be for a while, but when it's done it will most likely just be a slight noise change. I love having a quiet car, just need to slightly hear the exhaust haha.
They'll fit perfectly. I found some pictures of a guy running 15x8 +20 and they looked great.
Of course dude, makes me excited to get them on there!
No you can't! Not sure, I'm going to do some research into that first.
The switches are my favorite! Hahah. And the gauges annoy me much less than I was expecting, I'm not a huge fan either.I do the same once in a while park them across the street, but I take the alley behind the shop and slam a couple gears. Chirps nicely in 2/3 gear :D I like the steering feel also. A smaller pulley = moar boast is always good. :giggle: Was never a fan of the interior though with circular everything, and airplane style switches.Leave a comment:

I'm lucky enough in my job to take Minis for a spin every now and then and although the later turbos are quicker, you just can't beat that supercharger whine :D
Where are you getting your blower pulley from? JCW?Leave a comment:

mini s wheels are 17x8 i think with +40 offset. Dont think its going to be so bad with the schmidts. I tried to imagine realistic fitment in the chop camber and all. :) Thanks for whoring the chop!Leave a comment:

I have some doubts as to whether the wheels you had on your e30 are going to fit on a mini- those cars run something like 50mm offset stock.Leave a comment:

Real sweet man.
I approve of everything except getting an exhaust for it.
Really don't need that on your comfy daily!Leave a comment:
