    Love the progress so far!

Few questions on the wheel fitment. I'm looking for a set of 16's to fit 225/45/16 tyres, as well as the Massive 300x22mm sport kit.

    You've got 16x8 +20 Rota RB's here correct? http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3769/1...426dcd33_b.jpg

Did you have to roll the guards or anything to make them fit? My guards are already partially rolled ('90 318is). Do they scrub at all? On big bumps or full lock?

I'm not as low as you so perhaps won't have same issues if there are some.

Looking to run 225/45 semi slicks, which might cause issues. Thoughts?

Yes, the wheels are exactly as you said, when the wheels were silver they were et20 in the back, fenders were already rolled pretty decently, no rubbing at that offset. The back wheels weren't quite flush enough for me so I added a 10 mm spacer and raised it up slightly to clear my huge tires. Currently it doesn't rub except for in huge bumps. At about 85-90% lock it rubs very slightly on the fender liners but at full lock it doesn’t rub.

I don’t know specifically about the profile of the sidewall of a semi slick but my tires have a curved sidewall profile that sticks out past the rim. If they were straight up I’d run lower and probably rub the same amount.

I really can go just about anywhere I want at the current height. I’ve slid my skid on a few things but I can do speed bumps, parking garages and those retarded sidewalk ramps without challenge for the most part.

Thanks! I’ve gotten some PMs about the wiring of the lamps so I’ll explain: The lights are switched by the stock dome light switch in the driver’s kick panel. The stock dome light switch is a ground switch, which basically completes the circuit when the door is open with the positive side on all the time. The passenger side is grounded by a wire running under the carpet from the driver’s dome switch to the pass door. I found some positive power from the mirror motors in the door. (only slightly ghetto ) My doors had some weird wiring going on anyway from a PO so just tapped that. The lights can’t draw very many amps anyway… I didn’t run any proper connectors on the actual lights, just soldered wires directly to the input terminals…

Sup again! Got off my lazy behind to post some top quality iphone Picturds
I'll start at the e30 picnic! great time looking at the world's largest gathering of e30s!! Funny story about the difference between e30 owners and hot rodders. When I rolled up to the picnic, I thought "oh crap its 9:45! I'll be like the last person there!" I was probably the 12th car there! about a hundred more appeared about a half hour later! If I had gotten to a rod show at that time they would have practically given out the awards and would be packing up to leave! Needless to say, old people that hot rod get up too dang early!!

Went to a NW Porsche club AutoX with KWSeattle aka. Kyle

          That "Miata" was really quick!
I'm the goof with the open hood! But it was one of two that opened right! Hinges by the windshield are silly!
Bummed a ride in this Carrara RS Super America!! Was the fastest cornering thing I've ever been in! Was a total roller coaster ride! Amazing car! On hoosier slicks it carved it up!

          Because GT3RS, 'nuff said!!!

Changed these fuel lines because they pulled some retarded crap... It decided on the first day of Fall quarter to piss gas all over the ground, as in PISSING! :madThe block had gas streaming down the side about 3 inches wide and made about a foot and a half wide puddle in the garage with a trail of drips leading to the car... SO I took my mom's car to school:cool (and got a parking warning for wrong car registered to the pass.:rofl) The next day when I went to fix it, nothing. As in DRY!:confused I changed the rubber lines on the fuel rail and tightened the hose clamps for kicks...
          Seems ok now

I was just here it feels like!

Chilling at skool! THe other day she was all alone on the parking deck as I walked up all smiles because I have keys to a beautiful e30! Also note my parking behavior RIGHT next to the wall for max door ding protection!

So, at the last autoX the tech inspector didn't like my battery mounting solution, which was nothing thanks to a PO.So he made Kyle and I come up with the solution of about 5 zip ties to fix it. I forgot to take a pic of it but let me assure you, it was rather ghetto looking. I've since upgraded to a new OEM assembly for the battery tie down screw and also replaced the broken battery tray. I'm not sure what broke it, but it was either battery acid or the battery bouncing loosely in there for a while...

As a side note, is that hose from the sunroof?? It was loose like that and I replaced it into the little holder.

The hole under the tray was a little gross and wet from that drain(?) hose BUT rust free!:D

            AUTOX!!!

PCA was the host again so more Porsche porn!

            IN GRID
I was in the second run group and we all got one run in and it starting POURING for about 5 minutes then the sun came out! It was really good that I got to drive in the wet because in WA it is continuously raining. (Or so it seems!) I had an instructor ride with me on my first run in the wet and he said that I was doing really well controlling the car and keeping from spinning. I need to learn how to brake later and steer earlier/ set up for the corner sooner.

My instructor was like "come take a ride with me in my car so I can show you late apexing." I follow him over to this row of Porsches and he gets in the yellow 996 GT3! It was so fast it wasn't even funny! It wasn't fair how he could lay down the power in the rain when the 30 just goes sideways! That burgundy 993 has what he called a "supercup" motor and it had a beautiful lope when idling.

Thanks! The Vaders really work well in the car, I'm kindofsortof looking for a set of matching e36M back seats with the ///M stripes AND a ski pass for the sub, I think it would really pull it together...

I see my car! That last auto-x looked fun, too bad I thought I had problems with my car.

Turns out, the "wheel bearing" was actually a flat spot on my tire from the last autocross when I locked up my brakes LOL. Also the weird belt noises all went away when I drove through a massive puddle a couple weeks ago, haha. Still slightly overheating though when I get off the freeway, I think just need a fan clutch.

I'm excited for next season! Gotta get some snowboarding in first with my new board though. I'm still jealous you got to ride in the RS America, that thing is bad ass.
