99.99% got two patches left on battery box me and my dad saw for the first time days before paint. I honestly dont know how i hadnt seen it the last I've had it and then when I was doing my m30 swap instead of cutting the studs that hold the sound deadner to the firewall i hit them with a hammer. One of them was around thin metal and when i made contact with hammer it bent and ripped a hole in the floor. When the car returns from paint I'm masking the car up with painters tape and blankets and fixing those two spots if i dont get distracted i can get them done in 3 hours tops.

Can't wait for it be painted!!!!

ME EITHER!!! I just cant wait to see what a fresh wet coat of zobelbraun looks like. I wont get her back until mid February though since this is a side gig and he has a full time job as well.

Stopped by the shop to pay the painter for laying the primer and snapped a couple shots. He's trying like hell to get it blocked and reprimed this week so it can cure. He also told me that when this car come back it will look better then when it left BMW so now I gotta get an alpina spoiler so i got matching paint.

I know if I ever get my car repainted (which, with my current plans, will never happen haha) I would definitely want to drop the coin and get it done right.

EXACTLY he started talking to me about how maaco paints things cause hes done stuff for them and he told me I'd be paying 2k again in five years for them to do it again or I could pay the little extra with him and get a job that will last forever if taken care of.

I've got an euro 323i that I plan on restoring too! Can't decide between hartge or alpina though... I really want alpina/mtech1 + hartge rims but that kind of messes up the tribute. Alpina is easier to find ... but hartge rims .....

I paid $3500 a few years back and had to strip the car myself. But the paint job was perfect, better than a new one of the showroom.

Deff worth every penny for perfect paint and body work, Can't wait to see it when it's completed...!!!

using a lincoln electric 140hd weld pack with .025 wire and 75/25
