Havent touched this in a while. Been busy with my job as a tech for BMW of omaha and been focusing on getting into my shop. I did get the 3.25 installed and had some paint in the drivers 1/4 panel redone since some how got contaminated and cracked but it was just localized to that spot with think oily fingers touched it before filler was applied and it didn’t like it. Just picked it up today and got it in the new shop. I’m about 90% of the way moved in i just need my other car and tool box, air compressor, bottle of argon for tig welder, and random miscellaneous stuff to tidy it up. Will eventually get a lift installed this fall. BTW the e46 m3 is my friends not mine.

    Thanks

I finished the diff tonight. All new hardware. Ignore the disgusting speed sensor i have a new one in the current diff I will swap in this one was just so i could get some fresh redline in it. Don’t have the s3.25 tag on it yet either i just blasted it the other day and its going to get gold plated. Along with some side cover bolts that i may swap out.

I painted the cover with some BBS silver wheel paint i had laying around.

    One rebuilt 3.25 LSD

I ordered all new hardware for the cover and flange covers along with speed sensor bracket and hardware. If it doesn’t come gold zinc coated i will he sending it out to get coated and then I will be blasting the rear cover and pressing in a new bushing. I already have a new speed sensor in the current diff i will swap over to this.

My euro 320i/B6 3.5 Alpina Tribute the never ending saga

Everything is apart waiting for clutches and bearings to get here. Should have clutches tomorrow and bearings the next.

Bearings and clutches were roached. No pics of bearings just tons of pitting especially on the pinion

    Case is painted now too

Thats good. I’ll probably just start a part 2 build thread and have all the good stuff from this thread on the first couple post and go from there. This one is really long.

3.25LSD is on its way and so are new clutches, carrier and pinion bearings and crush sleeves. I already have new seals. Should have everything end of next week. Hoping to get started in it in next couple of weeks.

Looks like austin has saved the day with a 3.25 that i will be rebuilding. Going to get shipping and everything figured out tomorrow and go from there. I spent most of the day to day washing, polishing, and waxing the car. It rained last night and the car was just filthy. I think my sunroof drains are clogged cause i had some water on my floor. Or its from my sun roof panel sitting to low. Not sure. Have to adjust it and go from their.
