It was just an autocross, but it was in the low 40's. Not great weather but it was still pretty fun all things considered.

I haven't picked it up yet, but I think it's just the standard e46 rack.. which is faster than e36 m3 but not as fast as the Z3. I think the ZHP is the 2nd fastest behind the Z3 1.9 and just ahead of the e46 m3 ZCP. Standard e46 m3 uses the same rack as all other e46's.

I forgot to mention I had an interesting issue with the brakes as well. After my first run the brakes were dragging horribly. I jacked up each side and couldn't move either front wheel by hand. The booster delete uses a rod end/jamb nut on the threaded pushrod to the master cylinder, and I had to adjust this back out to get the brakes to release. Easy fix, but it was a little bit disconcerting, I'm still not really sure what could've changed so much that it would need to be adjusted. The jamb nut was tight and everything else with the brakes looked normal. Definitely not confidence inspiring, I can't say that I'm really that comfortable with that setup thus far

My car felt terrible compared to Airik's in my opinion, but he liked mine more than I did. I think I ran lass than half a second slower in Airik's car on Conti DW's and 80 less hp, compared to mine running Toyo RR's.

I mounted the s54 P/S pump last night and am working on the plumbing, so that problem should be solved shortly.

Did you verify freeplay at the pushrod to master cylinder when you first set it up?

Yeah, and it's been fine the way it was for months too, which is really strange. I looked at it briefly last night but I'm going to take it all apart and re-assemble tonight.

Changed some stuff on the car this weekend. At the autocross I had some issues with the fan not coming on until 230-240* and it was because the fan switch was mounted in the top corner of the radiator, while the temp sender (for my aux gauge) is mounting in the line going to the heater core. I bought a hose splice from ProSport (38mm) installed it in the top radiator hose. I put about 100 miles on the car this weekend and the fan is coming on right at 200*, but won't really know if it's fixed or not until next auto-x/track event.

I also got some new street tires and mounted them. Bridgestone RE760 Sport 215/45/17 and 245/40/17 with 5mm spacers in the rear.

Car is pretty good right now, still need to get it tuned but it's running/driving nicely and looking pretty good IMO

Son, I am disappoint. Eric and I were waiting around for you all weekend at the track day, bro.

Speaking of track day. When are you going to step up to the big boy stuff and stop playing whack-a-cone in the Winne Dixie parking lot?

Car is looking fantastic though, I'll give you that. If you've got the street tires on the M-Systems, what are you planning on mounting the sticky stuff on?

I'm working on getting it ready, I've unofficially retired from autocross because of the poor seat time-to-effort ratio. Unfortunately, after doing the racing stuff for a whle now I'm super paranoid about prepping the car so there is like 9 things I really need to address before I'm comfortable with it. Really though I just need some brake pads and another set of wheels. And to sort out my booster delete sketchiness, I don't really trust my brakes enough to do 140 into 10A yet

                            Thanks!

They rub a tiny bit now at WOT, I think I'm going to take the 5mm spacers out.

I'd love to, but I don't enough cash in my play money fund at the moment :(

It needs it though, I swear its slower than my e39 but it can't be!
