Im updating this thread. Junior/Senior year of college side tracked the e30 big time, It hasnt been driven since last March. Engineering school took all my free time.
Big things that have been done. No more turbo setup, It has RHD itbs on it currently.
Considering going back to plastic bumpers and pandem widebody, pesch is drift car quality. Im considering selling the current widebody, I like the m3 look more but the cost to do it correctly is a chunk of change. Plus this is a 1988 325 that was automatic and has the big tail lights.
Taco's hopes and mostly dreams.

I ended up going away from pesch, they would work but Im not willing to put the time in to get it to look not like a ratted out 240 like it does now. A company local to me just started making some high quality replica m3 bumpers so Im waiting to hear back from them.Leave a comment:

This is another issue; I am stepping up my rear tires to 295/35r17 Kumho Ecsta XS because I'm tired of yolostancelyfe 225s under Kam's Ultra-Wides. We'll see how it goes haha!Leave a comment:

Power delivery and grip seem to be the breaking point of axles. I fried a stock one on a similar day, 14-15psi around 90-95F running rs3 255 wide tires. Ill contact catuned and see if I can get new parts for this axle or if a new one is needed. I dont think spinning tires is what breaks the axles, its the traction that does it.Leave a comment:

Ah I see. I have a buddy with a turbo coupe and he pushed past, though not by much, 450 whp on stock axles and they lasted. I'm thinking of pushing to ~650whp next so was heavily eyeing the CA Tuned ones as they look super well made and are way cheaper than the DSS ones.Leave a comment:

They should be good for alot more power than 450-500hp, I believe the issue that the oem axle is usually a sealed unit that connects to the diff, Catuned is held together when its bolts to the diff flange. When I broke a few of the bolts under power it came apart lost all the bearings within the axles. I haven't had time to get pictures but here a crappy one.

Interesting, I'd been waiting to see how much power those were good for. Do you know how much power your car was making? I was planning on grabbing some for V2 of my turbo build but wasn't sure they'd last.Leave a comment:
