Dam bra, who you no swap your engine. the s5x is so much better and costs the same. dammnnn you so stupid.
M20 #12 for me. Fresh from the machine shop. Not over bored, nothing special going on here.
So to give this 200k+ mile car some life, lets replace the wear parts.
So few valves bra.
97k head, valves 3 angle ground. New seals in.
No new valves bc ya, that's right I'm a scrub. I'm a soon to be college student so I gets no new shit. Just these crap stock stuff.
Good bye $505. You will be missed, unlike crabs from a cheap hooker.
So ok. All this will be together and in the car running buy Sunday night. Gotta do my 8.5 hours tomorrow, book my trip to hawaii tonight and get this crap installed and running faster than pantsless can lower his car or even change his wheels.Comment

This stupid car ate up a whole Friday evening. Only to find out that the bearing I told blunt I didn't need was the one I actually needed. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!! Stefan was kind and dropped by and helped me clean up parts.
So I worked 7-4 at work then ran down to my dad's and did werk
took the rods of Wheelhop's old m50nv. put them on the m20b25 pistons. figured it cant hurt so why not.
So bc I'm poor and can't afford new pistons and a 3L swap I went and removed the carbon from the old pistons. these bitches have hit the exhaust vales more than Justin Bieber hits rock bottom every week. I may have to grid some of this shit down before installing. I used a brass dremel tool to remove the crap from the ring groves and a polishing wheel to get the carbon off the heads.
But those thighs tho! I must work out. dam!
Now balls deep. Threw that crank in, no plastic gauge no measuring. just ordered new stock bearings and that’s it. spins fine so ya.
then we lubed up and shoved this in. unfortunately we didn't get to go in dry. but no reason to F up a $400 new 272 cam from Ireland engineering.
At this point so much lube I my hands, I couldn't handle it. call it quits before something went wrong. pulled out and came home to r3v.

you cant keep everything forever. and i hate all 4cyl cars. if the m3 was an s38, i would have sold all that i own to keep it. but it was for for the 16 months. walked away owning an m3 for essentially 0 dollars. and then bought the camera i wanted. next will be a 1992 dodge viper and after that an XK-E. to me cars are an experience not a forever.Comment

Tonight's episode is brought to you by speakeasy beer and oakheart rum.
Congratulation on reading my thread about this stupid car. This car feeling like paying for a hooker and forgetting your viagra as a 60 year old man. - All show and no go. I emailed Steve at Bluntech and of course he is more wonderful than watching the guy who cut you off in traffic crash his car. always leaves me satisfied.
Anyways HDR picture of said pile.
lipstick on a pig!
The BFG Rivals are f***ing amazing. best DD tires NA.
so this disappointing snail of a car, that doesn’t have the power to pass a neon without smelling like burning shit, had its head finished this morning. a machine shop that is local did the 3 angle grind and then I just installed the cam and rockers. the assembily does not rotate smoothly and really worries me. I will need to go over it all again. it is a brand new 272 cam from Ireland engineering and IE HD rockers and new eccentrics.
Too bad no one will know that quality parts were used in the build. all they will see is the terrible paint and dents.
After I wasted an hour plus on the head, I lubed up some pistons and shoved them in with my harbor freight ring compressor. while hitting things is satisfying. the worry of ruining $100 worth of rings sucks. all but one went in without a hiccup. too bad blood can't be used instead of lube, this crap is expensive.
HAHA jokes on you, I didn’t pay for the lube. it magically appeared in my dad's garage. but that's not gonna stop me from using it.
Now, I'm like lets work on the blue car and finish the interior but my dad derps about the lack of paint on the block. I'm more like you can't see it so it cant hurt. leave the flaking paint on. but noooo we have to wire brush it and paint is correctly.
so I told him that he had to paint it if he wanted it to look good. well he did.
Here’s where I thought the day would end. my friend called me as asked me to shoot pics of his daughter's prom. unfortunately that only took 30 minutes so I went back to my dad's pulled the dash gauges and we fixed the broken gears.
Well finally something works… JK the gas gauge is still f***ed up. But now, I can read that I have done a certain amount of miles that is incorrect bc the tires are only 23" tall.
Back to the rum!
P.S. Northern is right. they were Klutch SL1 rims, yes i curbed them the first night of owning the car. I cant have nice things.Comment
