Well I haven't touched the ix all winter, this thing has been getting all of my attention getting it ready for the nice weather. :) Its a 2000 E39 M5! I picked it up back in November knowing it needed timing chain guides and figured it would make for a nice distraction from the ix this winter, and it has haha. It now has all new timing chains, guides and tensioners, WPC treated rod bearings, seals and gaskets, motor and trans mounts, sway bar bushings, left ring and center tie rods, belts and pulleys, Z3 shifter. I started it for the first time since pulling it off the trailer last night and it runs and sounds awesome :D I'm very excited to put some miles on it this summer. Here are some pictures, cheers!

Yeah, I'm defiantly glad I went the extra step to replace them, added about $700 to the total but now I can sleep at night. It has 154K. I have no idea of the service history on the car but everything seemed clean in the engine, no sludge or worn cam/bearings journals. The clincher for me was it being a Texas car absolutely no rust at all, not even on the exhaust. I live in the rust belt so the underside of this car is a beautiful thing :')Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
