Style 5's have always been the thing and they have actually dropped in price. They used to be over 1000 for a good set now you gotta have a fresh polish and respray plus decent tires to get over 1000 for them.

Style 5's don't have a bolt on the outside, it's a splined stud, so you just unscrew the back stud, then punch out the stud. I'll get a photo for you.
I actually really enjoy taking them apart, and after reading through some rebuild threads I think it's going to be easy peasy, just time consuming.
Thanks! They really are, I think it's that now there are quality adaptors, and the wheels are starting to be cheaper since e39's are starting to get older. If you're patient you should be able to find a set not too spendy. Lots of people don't know what they are.
Not from what I've found. I'm not in a prime bmw market, but when I looked on ebay if people know what they were they wanted at least $600 for a shitty set, plus shipping. A freshly rebuilt set would go for $1300 no tires. At the $300 I spent for the set I Think It will be all worth it.
I think I'm going to shoot for this. I don't know what color BBS logo I'll go with yet. Likely gold.

Also, felt restless so I installed my plate filler. I need to clean it.

Gold BBS w/ red background for the caps. But, I really like the japanese blue and sliver ones that are kinda rare though too. (I think the red will look better with your car, but the blue could look hot.)

Thanks man :D
Yeah, I'm still on the fence about the caps. I do like the blue, but don't know if it would be too much as there isn't any other blue on the car.Gold BBS w/ red background for the caps. I really like gold BBS lettering, and would like red.
The good thing is the caps are the easiest thing to change :D
Is this what you're talking about?

Yep, I think the red ones will look great, and the blue ones good as well. The black is more common, so it's not as much of a notice point if you want that feature.Comment

I'm sure you like style 19 wheels too.
Yeah, I just might have to go red.

I don't know if I could find the build thread, but some kid did an almond color on his style 5's with calypso and it looked fantastic. I think we all have seen the calypso which has the style 32's or whatever that are pinkish white. I honestly want to go with a different set up next summer, something different and not gold. Go for a color like a very light blue, idfk. Come up with something that your car can pull off and most calypso's DON'T have!1991 325i Calypso Coupe

The problem is I'm secure enough that doing something just to be "different" isn't that appealing. I wouldn't mind doing something different, but not just for the sake of being different.
I think so too. I'm not real concerned about the caps because I can change those easy. So if I don't like gold/red I can go to something else.
