    What 340i?

It runs and drives. I moved it across the lot at work to make room for 750iL #2.

Now I need to decide which e32 to part out. The engine will be going into a special project....I'm thinking to part the blue one since the paint sux asshole and it's got so many little fucked up things, like the door checks and missing hardware and all. Someone has been all in that car "repairing" things. The grey one seems to be all there, body is nice. Paint is good. Hood is black, but it's not terrible looking. Has stock wheels. Black interior is soooo tempting.

    We'll see.

    We shall see.

I love these cars for the engines. That's it. The fact that they are cool cars and drive awesome is just bonus points.

    Picked this up today. $350.

It's pretty good.....body is Delphin. Interior....what's left....is black. Front seats and the center rear armrest are gone. Some dickheads cut the seat harnesses....but e34 ones should wire in fine. Have some seats....methinks. I'll deal with it. Factory radio is gone. Everything in the engine bay is there but the brake bomb and it's mount/fluid block thing. Fuel pumps are dead....but it cranks over. Someone cut the cats out....and left the pipes open, so it'll be spectacular when it fires up. 225k on the odometer. Has all 5 style 3s. Body isn't bad at all. Hood is black, sunroof is faded, but the bumpers are all in tact as are the panels. A couple dings here and there, but it's not horrible. Fuel isn't bad, but it's not good. Tank might be toast. We'll see. I def need a new sender assembly and both pumps.

Don't fret, the car has no diff or axles, so towing like that is fine. I know what I'm doing, lol.

Also, the blue one needs valve seals. It's fouling the new plugs I put in.....

    Whelp.....I'll continue here....

Chasing misfiring. No codes. Under load, over 60mph is the most pronounced. It's at 1500rpm. The dizzy caps were original from 1988.....265000 miles on them. The center button was worn to a nub. Thought..GREAT! I'll replace and be good. So I scrounged up some caps....one from a 91 850i and the other from a 86 325.....both in much much better shape than the original ones to my car.

    No dice.

In the interim I repaired the windshield washers.....replacing the nozzles and some of the hose.

So, last night I was dicking with the washers again. Paul (Moosehead) convinced me it'd be a good time to just replace my leaky intake gaskets. I have the Max Lumens gaskets for the intakes.....and have been sitting on them for a while now.

    7:30pm, 2/16/16

So, removed the intakes. I had a spare set from the 850 that I'd previously cleaned up. Then figured why not r&r the valve covers and do gaskets. They're RIGHT THERE...so I did that. Good thing I did. One oil sprayer bolt was backed out almost all the way. All of the others were missing the bottom crush washer....and three were missing the upper crush washer. Cam wear was non-existent. They're perfect. So.....took care of that....buttoned up the valve covers. Resealed the fuel injectors, replaced all the little fuel hoses under there with proper BMW 8mm injection line and new clamps. I had to partially remove the right side intake manifold because I forgot to install the fuel pipe that fits under it. Probably lost a good 30 minutes dicking with that.

    This is going back together.

All told I had it back together and running at 12am.

    The kicker?

    Didn't fix my misfire issue.

But it did get a lot prettier under the hood.

    Just doing my dooty.....duty?

So I've been dicking with this 750.

Fixed a couple vacuum leaks, now the CEL doesn't come on at idle. Also replaced a couple swollen fuel lines. Purple Power'd the engine bay.

Muffler was rubbing the rear bumper on the side....rear bumper is smooshed in a little. So removed the bumper to push out the shock.....found out the muffler was held in by a gloriously stretched hanger on one side, and a hose clamp on the other. So replaced those and the muffler hangs proper now, nice and tight. Bumper I'll just need a new shock. :/

Dicking with the windshield washers and the damn things are all disintegrated. But did drive it to work this morning.
