When I was growing up my grandfather raced an FB for many years, he absolutely loved the thing. Later on my aunt picked up a Turbo II FC that looked just like yours except for the hood scoop. That car apparently scared the hell out of my grandfather! All that being said, I'm a huge RX-7 fan.

Have you considered pushing it down a hill or dragging it behind a truck or something to start it? I flooded my rx-8 once so I pushed it down a steep hill, popped the clutch in second, and it roared to life. Also try the windex method.
Reading on it, seems that's the last resort.

I genuinely think the kid flooded it, then didn't know where to go. Started troubleshooting and got in over his head. I'm going to try adding oil to the chamber tonight....then maybe get a friend with a truck to come over and gimme a pull.

I can't wait to drive it. Need to hang all the belts and put the cooling system back together.

Yurp. It's a no-start deal. Guy had to move from his apt in 6 days, didn't have time to fix the car. Said it was a no-spark situation. I did some trouble shooting and got spark and fuel....but still no start. Think it's probably flooded now. So I'll break out the ATF and spark plug socket tonight.

The main fuse block under the hood was missing the lead from the battery, so nothing was getting power.

All in all it's a surprisingly simple car. I can't wait to get it running. I've fantasized about them for over a decade. Granted I wanted a FB with a nice ducktail spoiler, but for $500.....I'll take the FC.

I've wanted a rx7 since I was 15. Finally things lined up for me and I snapped this one up. Needs some work, but it's clean....and was $500.

We'll see how it pans out. It's a neat little car. 1989 non-turbo.
