      Thanks guys! The doors have had plates welded in over the door handles and it is going to be a nightmare to remove and get back to original. For now I plan to just get the car one color and paint the panels myself. Eventually, it will get a professional paint job and at that time I'll have the handles addressed.

      I'm not sure I want to risk taking off the plastic cover myself because I have terrible luck with these types of things. I was thinking you could slide an adhesive sticker overlay rather easily but I haven't found any. I was pointed to the following source for cluster work: http://www.bavrest.com/instrument-clusters.html

      They charge $75 to break apart the cluster and $60 to restore the //M. Additional work goes up from there. I am considering getting their entire restoration package because my odometer is not working despite my attempted gear fix, my //M is faded and the plastic cover is scratched. It isn't cheap but they go over everything and guarantee it for 3 years. It's certainly the only option I have found so far that I would trust.
