This will be a cool build ..!! I think part of the shock tower bracing needs to be trimmed to fit the wastegate and turbo might interfere with engine arm bracket.Need a Turbo manifold? We have them in stock- Click here---> http://rapidspoolindustries.com/

I'm starting the process of mocking everything up, so hopefully I'll have some answers soon. The "kit" came with the original passenger side e23 745i motor mount arm, which is different from the standard 735i arm. But since it's designed for the e23 chassis I highly doubt it will work in the e30. I may be getting in touch about a custom one...Comment

Time for some more updates! Still rebuilding the turbo.
Next step: remove compressor plate held on with 4 torx T-40 bolts:
Once removed, you can see the 3/4 thrust bearing. I had to clean and scrub quite a bit just to get to this, it was covered in charred oil and junk. Also note how blackened the bearing is. It's supposed to be shiny, bright bronze.
Next up: use a pick to remove the thrust bearing, snap rings, and bushings.
OK kids, everyone in the pool!
The main shaft was pretty dirty and had some burnt crap on it, so before everything can be put back together it needed to be cleaned and polished up a bit. Thankfully I had some 3000 grit wet sandpaper laying around. Chuck it up in a drill and 30 seconds later, voila!
I've been working on my shaft polishing skills, Blunt will be so pleased! :giggle:

I also started tearing apart the wastegate. It's in good shape but my plan is to get the bottom half sandblasted and the whole thing painted to match the ceramic coating that's going on the rest of the exhaust system.
