    '70 2002 widebody & M10 turbo project

**This is my cousins car and his vision, please keep your posts constructive**

Months ago, my cousin told me he was building a 2002 and gave me an idea of what he wanted. I knew it was going to be on the wilder side of things, and it would probably need some serious power to back up that "show." Fast forward to last month and we get to talking and he is frustrated because S14 motors are way out of his budget and he isnt sure what to do.

    I had an idea

Ive been wanting to build a M10 turbo for a while and have been trying to get my hands on a small goldmine, but trying to prioritize things kept me on the sidelines. This was my opportunity to build the M10 turbo and not spend any of my own money! SCORE!

When I first saw his car, I had to bite my tongue because its style is certainly made a statement, but I knew this was his vision and with a few choice mods, it could really be something when its done... and I had to help guide him in that direction haha

For now, some pics of the little monster

special shout out to Dmitriy (kronus) for dealing with me while I kept trying to buy the parts from him.

edit: apparently most of the parts for this build came from this motor http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95377

Nice score, that turbo manifold is one of my early designs.
What are your plans for the engine?

The turbo manifold is one of the things I'm most excited about. I'm hoping to do a full build on the motor. In that mess in the trunk is low compression JE pistons, a mls headgasket, TEP turbo cam. It will all run on megasquirt.

Otis, the manifold almost looks split for a twin scroll turbo, was that part of the design? Because I'd love to use a twin scroll turbo. What do you recommend for a turbo?

The custom body work isnt my cup of tea but to each his own.. It has tons of potential though. Some wide wheels to fill those gaps and awesome motor build.

That's exactly it. I know with a badass motor and the right wheels, it will be a real stunner.

Imo it looks like its trying to give the 50'60's look and 2002 just aren't meant to.

It don't think it's 100% full twin scroll, but very close to it. 1-4 & 2-3 are paired together with the runners being equal length. What's your power goal? A Holset HX35 would be a good choice.

Some 15x10 deep dish wheels would make it look wicked..!!!

Here's a pic of it mounted, from the top and front.
You will need to have the engine arm mount modified to make it fit.

I waited until I had some time, but the 2002's have long had widebodies
