@bradnic
no worries man :) in any case thanks for being mannered - makes reading the forums that much more enjoyable.
still searching for a black leather pair of recaros haha.. one of these days :)Leave a comment:

Yeah they're nice but they're just normal cloth sport seats. apologies is my comment came across negative - wasn't intentional.
LOVE the E30 recaros. I've only seen the hard core E30 old timers have them. Folks use GTI recaros with adapters too.Leave a comment:

Initially I thought the seats were recaro because of the leather/cloth combo as seen in this picture: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...1&postcount=15
But it seems I was mistaken. I tried convincing the seller to part with the emblems but it was a no go. Maybe if it doesn't sell hah.Leave a comment:

looks nice to me:)
Looks to be a car someone took in to Birds in the UK, they are the authorized Hartge dealer, and had a few parts added. Not a full conversion like mine, but still very nice. I would like the interior too!!http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-3-Series...m=201342104233
Check this out! Hartge accessorized from the UK.
-RHD
-emblems, exhaust, suspension, 15" rims
Honestly I'm most jealous of the seats - I believe they are real e30 recaro's - not the sport seats everybody confuses them with. The color combo is money! That whole interior is so hard to find....i'd almost want to buy the car just to swap it out and resell the car!

Clean car but the interior is not at all special. Only Hartge bits I see are emblems exhaust tip and 1 piece wheels unless I missed something. Even has regular non AC front valance and no IS lip.Leave a comment:

thanks
thanks for the comment. I am enjoying just driving it for now. Will get back to more fun once we move. Was fun to see the hartge sticker from Kohl Automotive on the oil cooler and the headers have the hartge tag....at one time it had a bunch of hartge parts that I have had to find over the past 6 months.
Just have a few more to find!!:)

Thanks for the heads up :) I have a basic idea of what I need....
Really waiting for Levent to get those side skirts made - I feel like it finishes the look. Have the front valance super low on it's own throws it off just a tad I think.Leave a comment:

That's awesome man. I'm so jealous of that I'd love to have a full true Hartge car.Leave a comment:

If Hartge touched your headthere should be a stamp similar to where and how BimmerHeads stamps the heads they work on. If you see the stamp then you have a Hartge tuned head if not then it's a bmw base head. Not exactly sure where it would be. Maybe Raul would know exactly.
Yes, my h26 has the 'hartge" stamp on the head and right below it the symbols 'h-26'.
It says 2.7 on the block, so I am thinking they did something to the crank that is not stock.
Might have a hartge cam in it, but I will check that out when I do the valve adj. in a week or two.
You find the hartge stamp on the intake side of the head in the front half of the head. Hard to see unless you have a clean head....
thanks for the post, good info. down below here.

Also to get about 250hp out of an m20 you'd need to do quite a bit of head work. A 288 or a 304 cam with 2mm oversized intake valves. An itb set up. Your bottom end would have to be around a 2.9 to a 3.1 stroker with I think 11:1 pistons. Even after all of that you may not hit the 250hp. RHD in Australia has a 293 hp na m20.Leave a comment:

I'm patiently waiting to see yours finished :)Hi: The valance is primed, need to use 3-M tape. I am going to try not to use holes, but we will see how that works:).
250hp might be hard to get, but there are more people on here that know more about engines....mine is suppose to have 193, but that is with pistons, crank, head work, headers, and maybe some intake work. I can't tell if the intake has been worked on by hartge. I did find one on German e-bay that was a real hartge intake....guy wanted 500 euros:)....I think if you are keeping the car for a long time and enjoy it as a dd, then it is taking the place of a 20k econobox then you have not spent anymore money. If you sell it, expect to get half of what you spent:).
My car is on hold until the end of May because of the move....:)

I know 190-200 whp is achievable with good headwork, pistons, crank, etc - not sure if I really need more than that actually. Part of me really wants to be able to keep up with the newer cars of today but I remind myself I just daily drive and don't race haha. 190-200whp should be more than enough to have a lot of fun with the car. If I want something stronger I'll go find an e28 to build :) Speaking of which... the hartge e28 was beautiful too :D
All of the original hartge pieces in germany are $$$$$$$$$$$ makes me want to cry a little.Leave a comment:
