I agree, when I put the side skirts on it transformed the look of the car. The rear valance really makes a big difference too. I am thinking the front spoiler will finish off the look!!

Uh oh, looks like we may have some similar goals in the looks department! I'm currently trying to figure which front apron I'd rather use as well. That Hartge though, cool vehicle.

Looks great with the alpina front spoiler! Is this what you are aiming for?

Ahah... today I learned. Hmmm what about the mtech1 skirts with the arches haha. Just thinking about options.

I didn't realize the ix skirts had flares as part of the package! I'll have to go look at it again :)

Edit* here's the alpina/mtech1. I like it a lot hah

I wouldn't use the ix skirts without the flares. The skirts are the part that have the indent so it would look funky with the skirts by them selves.

Allow me to clarify what I meant

Ix flares + Hartge skirts = modify Hartge skirts and a pita
Full ix styling = nice look with Hartge but hardware costs a bit
Just the ix skirt = looks like crap I wouldn't do it

Yeh, the more I thought about it, I think I will just take the headers off and have them coated....hope they can be saved:)
Also I have an ix that I'm making a Hartge out of. To try to get Hartge skirts to work with the fender flair would be a pain. The oem ix skirts have indents in them so the flare can overlap the skirt. Also the hardware to install the ix styling is kinda expensive.
Yes, I was thinking there might be some problems. maybe front and back hartge and ix sides would be the way to go...I would like to see that on a car...would look good.

I am going for a replica - but side skirts are indeed, hard to find.

Thoughts on Hartge front and rear valence + either mtech1 or early ix side skirts with the fender arches? I really dig those arches for some reason.... they just look so good hah :D
Yes, the ix arches are cool. I have had a few ix's and they are good looking cars. If you are going with a hartge clone, I would stay with all hartge parts....but they are hard to find.
If not, ix parts would look good, but I think there might be something about the arches that makes them hard to put on a regular e30, maybe not.

Oh, question for all of you people. Should I wrap the hartge headers? The heat coming off of them is pretty intense......I plan on having them coated at some point in the future.
    thanks,

Just asking is how I got my ronals :D I've asked several times on eBay.de. Some guy is selling a full late model kit ($3000 USD i think though plus another $1000 for shipping O_O). Haven't had any luck on finding the "Hartge" badges though.... I have the H26 badge coming in from Thailand. The wing just arrived from thailand too! Also the valve cover just came in. It's like Christmas every week:):):)
Christmas in May???:), sounds like you are on your way to a great start on your project

There is one more listing for a tip on ebay.de but it says H35. Im not sure if it's the same thing or not.
H26 and h35 tips are not the same....well close:)

Found a steering wheel... but the leather is toast :( looks kind of cool in a vintage way but might not be the most pleasant to handle

Well, you can buy and sell it later, maybe get a better one in between...The last good one I saw was 600euros:)....way too much, but what the market will bear is what they sell for...
