Damn, that is a sweet overhaul. I need to get a small pickup and this is making me feel the need for a new project vehicle!

Build is still going strong. Ended up getting a new hood and both fenders. Originals were very rusted out. Also replaced the tailgate due to rust. This is my first time experience with Sheib Paint and Body here in San Diego. They did a full respray in OEM Toyota white and fixed tons of dents. I don't have pictures of the rear bed but it was really bad. Came out well and the price was reasonable. 3 year warranty as well. Better pics to come.

total cost was just over $1,500. It would have been alot less but I needed so many panels corrected and straightened.

Not a good deal but a fair one I think

Dang Buttchug, didn't realize you also have a yota. Your truck's the older brother of mine....

Roughly the same mileage too I'm getting close to 210,000 no rebuild though... but it did just get resprayed / lots of body work. Good work though dude, keep it up.

                      Figured I should update:

Truck is pretty much complete and ready to go. Passed CA smog like a boss. Just restored the factory steelies and added some better tires.

Aside from a radio, a new 3rd brake, roof light and a bed liner the build is complete.

                      yay

Im into it for $5,100 Not sure if ill get all my money back if I ever sell it.

Almost 1k miles on new engine. Time for break in oil change.

First I installed a temp sensor for better accuracy. 1/8 NPT thread.

Then I picked up a tach signal from the ignitor chip harness so now I can see engine speed and bam, some fast and furious pillar pods

Full RICE but came out clean.

Right at the thermostat housing I see. Mine it's metal. Might have to get one of those inline hose adapters.

                              Thanks!
