Been wanting to re-do the front of the car for quite some time now. My thoughts were not only to update but shave some weight off as well. So today the project started.... and during dis-assembly memories of my dads saying came to mind. "When the devil has nothing to do he f**ks his kids"
Really didn't have a game plan, just started taking the front end off and grabbed the sawzall.
Here's what it looks like now, old E21 chopped up BBS spoiler.
How this thing stayed on at 160+mph by 6 self tapping is beyond me.
Draining coolant...just water with some water wetter.
Then the cutting began...
Welded one plate on, and ran out of mig wire, called it day.
Here's the replacement for the front. It will need a good amount of work once I cut away half of it for the intercooler.
