Fully agree.
I go with OEM parts all the time. There is a big difference.

Thanks for the research. You can see a very clear difference in the 2 links. That's what makes eBay eBay :)Hmm, AB raised the price on these... they used to sell for 3 or 4 bucks

But..... Ebay still has them at the cheap price

Very nice! I actually bought my first e30 from an older lady who had it sitting in her garage for close to 10 years! 87' 5 speed 325i sedan. You can see it on my build thread! Schwarz paint looked like it was just freshly painted. I totally found it on accident when I was in a random town far from home and decided to check craigslist. Lady cried when she sold it cause she had it soo long. Gotta love OG e30 owners.Leave a comment:

I'm afraid it's a bit too late since they are sitting at the dealership waiting for me. They are so nice to me that every now and then I don't mind paying more.
I will check out that source though for future reference.
PS..I did check British Atlantic and found nothing even similar for fuel system parts up to $15. If you can post a link that would be useful.

Great tip. Thank you. I won't ask how you figured that one out lolGreat story man and even better to be able to see the car!
Very cool and getting better by the day.
BTW - the fuel filter mounts.... BMW air pump mounts are same part as those on Land Rovers. You can get the same part through a LR parts distributor such as Atlantic British for about 1/4 of the BMW price.

We have a sedan with the same setup (mild drop and stock + dampers) and it sits right and rides great. Not high performance but fun anyway for a DD and this is an eta after all.
If I need drop hats or to play with the spring pads to tweak how she sits that's fine but I want some suspension travel on this one so sports are off the table.
Those are also 45s on the RXs. 50s will close th gap a touchLeave a comment:

An Inch? M3 springs would most likely drop an inch(ok - 3/4" or more) - you need 2- 2.5" drop. I know it sounds crazy, but it's ok to almost tuck a little bit of tire.
Not too many people know this, but BMW actually installed taller springs in US market cars because at the time they were worried about road conditions in places they would normally test. Like old cities like Boston. And Americans weren't use to driving cars with limited suspension travel. Anyways, the point is U.S. bound e30's were actually "lifted" from the factory by about an inch.Leave a comment:

I actually placed an order with TR for the Konis and the H&Rs. Did the deal on the phone last Thursday w an estimated ship date of 7/21 as they were "in transit" from Koni. This was also on my order confirmation. Whe I called Tuesday to check they said "November". After speaking to Koni and learning they were indeed not around, I cancelled my orde with TR on principal.I had mine on special order via TireRack around April. I got three different reports all unique. Koni was right. I got them within the month. Reading old reviews, it appears the fronts were the issue.
The other time frames offered were late this year.
TR had a lovely deal on them with free shipping and 25% off.
I grabbed the springs from LTB. Louis is a good guy and he matched TR and they arrived in 2 days. I then gave Turner (really allshocks) the back order for the STRs.they guaranteed the sale price which was slightly less than TR and since I'm a repeat customer they didn't ask for a credit card (can't beat that). They also offed me Bilstein Tourings for the front in case I can't survive til the Konis arrive.Leave a comment:

Awesome find man! I've left lots of notes. Never heard from the owners. Until the last note I left, which happened to be left on a Salmon Silver 88 M3. Once I get it back from the shop that's doing some preliminary repairs I'll post about it.Leave a comment:
