In Progress : AC Schnitzer S3.5 Convertible (FOR SALE!! FOR SALE!!)
Nice Work! FWIW, I purchased a rebuilt transmission from Andrew a couple of years ago and installed it in my 87 M-Tech 1. I mated it up with a Clutchmaster FX-200 clutch and JB Racing 8lb. aluminum flywheel. At the same time I installed the UUC SSK with DSSR.
It is like driving a different car. Very happy with my transmission.
Consider a lightweight flywheel while you are in there.
The transmission is well sorted. It has an M5 flywheel. I am confident in Andrew 's work; it seems a lot of racers rely on his transmissions. I do not drive hard and expect this to last for the life of the car.
I am considering a SS kit. Do I just got with a Z3 and upgraded bits or go all out for a UUC? That will probably be a Santa gift. While it is all out, I want to make it right. That will slow progress down for the most part. Work slowed down and my fun money has dried up a good bit.
Things I am considering:
The new Trans and engine mounts from the M20 or poly type? Not racecar. I want it to be a good cruising vehicle with the missus.
SSK?
Steering rack swap? E36...?
I will grab an upgraded front subframe from Garagistic.
I am pretty sure I will upgrade the rack.. just a matter of getting one. There is a 95 M3 one for sale currently on the forum. Just not a good time, you know.
During the tear down, I noticed the motor and transmission mounts were new. I considered doing poly, even if soft, just for a more sporty feel. It seems I will keep with the stock rubber.

I am so glad you joined. You purchased a really great car.. an E30 Touring ACS S3 2.7!!
I would live to hear what an ACS S3 sounds like. Can you upload a video or two idling and stepping on it?
Please stay with us and even post your own thread to document a great piece of E30 history.
As for the mini wiper kit: I know of a guy who has a few :). It ain't me. These are able to be replicated. Their fabrication was done by a fellow e3v member. To purchase an original is tough and requires a lot of patience, hunting and willingness to pay the price once available. Recently a mono wiper kit was being sold overseas. It was marketed as an E30 kit however it had an ACS stamp in the metal. The stamp was genuine I'd agree but it made me think it was not of the E30 era. Many ACS parts for the E30 do not carry any part number. Body kit and suspenaion, yes. Dead pedal maybe. Horn buttons, steering wheel pads, shift knobs, strut braces, etc no.
I have a mono wiper arm with the mini blade. It is NOS. The linkage I will need to modify myself. Bonrath made the kits for rebranding IIRC.
As for your LHD to RHD swap, there is a member here doing the reverse. He has a for sale thread. Perhaps it could benefit your efforts.
