M20 Exhaust

This is a genuine ACS exhaust kit, without kat. It will not work for the M30. I do not want it to be hacked up. And I just sold an exhaust tip!!! Back on the hunt!!

I wanted to place these photos here for posterity. This set will be in very capable hands.

I am pretty sure I will upgrade the rack.. just a matter of getting one. There is a 95 M3 one for sale currently on the forum. Just not a good time, you know.

even the regular E36 rack is a great improvement. absolutely love it on my vert. went with Rack Doctor. 1st one I received popped a seal, but it was quickly replaced under warranty. not a single problem since.

:coolphoto:I didn't buy a AC Schnitzer muffler for my ACS S3 3.2 turbo m car. It was going to choke up my power. I bought couple of ACS muffler tips to go with my 3" exhaust.

I put my angle grinder to use and removed the radiator supports to make room.

I need to find appropriate hardware to support the bottom and fasteners for the top. I prefer an OEM solution.

The power steering hoses came off. I will refurbish them. Hose will be sourced from Autozone likely but will give the local Parker Hose shop a shot first. They may be able to crimp on new hose in house. Norma clamps will do the job, too. I am just looking for a clean solution.

Shocked to see the RackDoctor 95 M3 rack is so pricey. I need to read up on my options.

I will do a Garagistic reinforced subframe, too. Just more money as I get my E38 into shape.

Not much spending, gives more time for research.

Injectors have been restored by MEPEH. I am glad to have had the service done. The one injector was certainly not performing correctly.

Another ACS front badge showed up, all three mounting tabs intact. Probably my best condition one. I think three is enough. Wait, three steering wheels, three shift knobs, three badges... two more E30s? Vert, Sedan and Coupe?

Wiper linkage removal sucks. Had a few minutes last night to remove the HVAC fan but still cannot get that sucker out! Please, guide me!

Seems the bumper swap solution is via OEM pieces: 51 12 1 959 128. $121 each via Tischer. Ouch. Fporro in this thread, "Bumpers, bumpers, bumpers" (http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...445#post510445), provides helpful knowledge.

Car is back on jackstands. I will remove the front subframe for reinforcement purpose. Of course it will get cleaned up and painted, too. Next on the list is to redo the fuel filter area.. new hoses, clamps and filter.

After doing a bunch of work to the E38, the driver's window regulator crunched, leaving me with a half up window. Blah.

i have a boatload of bumper conversion info on my vert euro conversion build thread, including links to all the original source threads. also did an early model vert plastic bumper conversion if you're interested in that.
