Finally got my springs in, ride quality is pretty much the same to stock, but my rear is squatted down low due to my super heavy sub

    Woo for crusty old strut

Next on the list.. wheels!... and a lighter subwoofer setup so it doesent got that stinkbug stance. Probually gunna end up pulling the rear spare, and back seats to

E30 got some new rims tonight ;D

15 x 8 et0 Phatfux, They sit perfect.. but they rub the front caliper a bit, so i'll have to get spacers, and the rear needs the lips trimmed. even after rolling them they still rub :C So we're going to trim the lips down until theres almost nothing. I am determined to make these fit!

Ugh, its so perfect but I dont wanna keep hacking apart my car just to make them fit :( Should i try to trade them for 15 x 7s with a et10? But i still dunno if those would fit right either... ugh!

Had to pull the car up into the driveway so i could pull the trailer out of the garage, Took some pictures

Then I swapped back to the stock wheels while i was changing the oil and replacing the thermostat.

but, heres how much i had to grind off the caliper just to make the wheels turn... and what it still did to the back of the rim.

Haggard yes I know, but i was determined to make them fit the night i got them and was defeated. so tonight i ordered a 75mm stud conversion kit, and will be picking up 15mm spacers tomorrow, hopefully it'll all fit...

So, ordered my spacers 12mm, so that will put my front wheels at +12 offset? Still undecided if I'm going to keep these wheels or not, so i figured I'd order something kinda big incase i trade for something with like 10mm offset. I can grab 5mm ones in town here.

I also wish someone had warned me how time consuming all this lowering stuff is! and expensive!! Total now for all this is like $1,200.. wheels, springs, studs, bolts, spacers, etc. When I lifted my jeep it was only $500 for a 3" lift, and like brand new 31"s lmao

This jeep was my first big project, took 2 years to get it where its at today, 415,000kms and still out does brand new wranglers, and has only left me stranded once when the serpentine belt snapped.
and when i first bought it

Now that my excuse to show off my jeep is over, I'm also slighty debating fender flares for the E30 if i cant get the wheels to fit wit the stock arches? I dunno, My adhd is playing headgames with me today.

Decided to take some pretty pictures this morning.
Mind you i only had my Iphone, so not the best quality :( I have to remeber to take my canon with me more often :v

And next question. Is it possible to buy replacement quarters for these? I'd like to order the drivers rear quarter and send the car out this summer while I'm away working to have all the body work done, Rust repaired, dents pulled/filled, And have the whole car repainted in schwarz again.

And most threads I've been snooping around at all lead to the same awnser...
Its not worth putting that kind of money into a E30 so buy another. BUT. They're kinda rare where i live, So getting another "rust free" one would be next to impossible, so I'm kinda stuck with what i got.

Also spacers and studs should be here this week so fancy wheels will be on soon! :D

My stud conversion kit came in today, now just waiting on spacers. But since it was a nice day out I took the opportunity to swap out my nasty old cloth seats to the leather set from my parts car, and upgraded to the premium sound system while i was at it. Plus I painted my grill and bumper, put in my new turn signal lenses, and added my awsome euro plate that finally came in the mail.

Picture from a few days ago:

                      And a Picture from today:

Also, some pictures of how the rims fit on the car when I tryed them, I think I'm going to put the factory coils back in the rear cause they sit way too close to the wheelarch lip for my liking..

Plus how with how much i had to grind off my caliper just to make the wheel spin, and it still hits.. hopefully the spacers will make everything all better (pictures from a last week)

(Caliper was painted afterwards when i put the factory wheels back on)

                        Some more picture whoring :D

I love Dailying this car <3 even though its not much it still gets tons of attention since its really the only one on the island. Might be picking up some HID's for it later today if i feel like making the 2 hour drive to go get them.

So close to being able to actually run these rims properly... I used washers to space out the one wheel so it wouldent drag then took it to the end of my street for glamour shots lmao.

Spacers will be in for sure on monday and hub-centric rings will be next.

spacers are in and now i can finally run my wheels :D the front poke a bit more but oh well, it handles awsome and looks good, I'm currently running without hub centric rings until thursday (joys of having to order -everything-) And i fixed my rear tire rubbing issue, there was a huge lump on the inside of the wheel arch that was shiny from the tire rubbing it, so i grinded it down, no more rubs!... as much Its enough now that they only rub on huge bumps or super hard turns. Once i get my new rear shocks it should stiffen up the rear enough so it wont have as much body roll.

So, I've been having this random problem lately with it being so wet outside where my car has a random misfire issue? Usually happens at low revs, IE: pulling away from a stopsign, or idling through a parking lot. but if you give it some skinny pedal it goes away, doesent happen if your cruising along, or on the highway. only at low revs. And only does it when its been raining or damp out for a day or two... Any ideas?

And some pictures i took the other night.
