      hahaha

i love the car but it's making me so upset all the time.

i started working on the soon to be mine e36 m3 track car this weekend and lost all iX motivation and then the iX front end starts rattling and it's game over.

I know the ix frustrations all too well. I don't blame you.

          exactly.

my last iX became a headache

ex1. went through 3 slave cylinders in ~10 days
ex2. water leaked into the central lock module and froze all my doors into the lock position.

i told myself if this one ever gave me a tough time, i'd end it.

i want to keep the car since it's an iX and they're awesome and all that but i just have no more motivation to wrench on it and it seems like it needs to be on jackstands weekly.

Wow, this sucks. What is causing the vibration? Best guess? You practically replaced everything up front. I was looking forward to the rest of your build. Good luck with your sale.

i have no idea... i think it's the brand new bilsteins making noise and/or a caliper sticking. i drove the car all weekend and put at least 200 miles on it without much issue. top hats were torqued and gland nuts are tight.

then today, the m3 picked up a nail. i took the tire off and stuck it in the ix to head up to discount tire for a free plug.

i backed out of the driveway and drove it up the hill, halfway up it started making noises so i turned right around and parked it back in the driveway.

i don't even want to mess around with it. selling for what i've got into it. imo it's a hell of a deal with all of the spare parts.

That really sucks. It is a great deal, especially with all of the extra parts. You wouldn't happen to have a set of ix weave caps for sale would you?

Lol. Well that kind of just sold me on just buying another set of wheels. I can't justify paying $200+ for a new set of caps when I could just invest that in another set of wheels with a better off-set.

I hate my ix too, but I'll never sell it. It breaks down all the time and is constantly draining my wallet dry, but idk as much as it gives me hell its the one car that I never truly think about selling.

hahahaha yeah that's kinda how i felt, except with just stock wheels. buying new caps is a waste of money when they are probably gonna fly into a ditch.

I kinda feel the same but at the same time, going from the iX to the M3 is amazing, M3 to iX is depressing.

With the E36M track build beginning I think it's time for me to think about getting something that's trailer capable as well.

Congratulations. It is not surprising, it was easily worth more than your asking price, especially with all the extras.
