No benefits that I know of. Car might run a bit cooler at speed, but it will already be running cool enough. Probably not worth the hassle of having to re-mount the aux fan.

Would I need to detach it from the AC condenser, and re-attach it to the radiator?

I finally sourced a pick-up tube, deleted the AC compressor and line, got my ECU back from
"DesertBMW", sent my harness out to kadunza, and am now currently modifying my Porsche booster.

I have a question.
How safe would it be to run my mechanical fan/clutch on the m52?

Next I just want to give a big thanks to everyone for all helpful knowledge, info, tips.
Like I said earlier, I would love to get it running by the end of the month, I have a trip planned in September and would love to take the car, if I end up going electrical fan I'll pay any local who wants to come help me wire one up with cash and donuts.


Lastly, I finally sold my Fittipaldi's, and am on the hunt for something that will fulfill my stanceful desires. I hope I don't buy reps but if I do I'll at least buy the real rotas.

You could delete it, plug the inlet and put a filter or something on the valve cover port, but there are many benefits to retaining it:

2. This has probably asked a million times, what throttle body and intake manifold should I run? I already have both M52 and M50 manifolds, and also an m52 throttle body.
Should I run the m50 manifold and go with an m50 throttle body?

M50 manifold is the forum fave, either with the M50 TB, or with the M52 TB + a metal spacer so the two gaskets aren't trying to seat against each other. M50 is easier to rig up cruise control with an E34 cruise cable.

3. Since my e34 pan already has a windage tray in it, does that mean I can take the one off the m52 and just leave the one on the e34 pan?

Yes, but it might rub on the larger 84mm crank on the M52. Personally, I would drill off the E34 pan one and retain the one that was specifically for that engine/newer.

4. Am I the youngest R3V member to do an obd2 swap? (17)

5.Since I'm using my g260, I ordered a new g260 m20 throw-out bearing, will it work or do I need a euro 323i tob?

If you use a G260 and all M20 flywheel/pressure plate, you should only need the same TOB as before.

6. Which pilot bearing should I buy, m20 or m52?

Match it to the transmission, Trans input shafts can be different sizes (Can't remember if G260 vs ZF are different sizes or not)

7. Since this is my 500th post, does that mean I'm now a str8 r3v master?

One can only obtain that title after successfully giving Blunt a reach around in a junked m3 you found while bakery shopping.
