New year, new build, same car.

Some of you may recognize the car for what it looked like up until about a week ago. Over the course of the past 4 years it has changed only a small amount and I was beginning to crave something else with it.

Here we are in 2016, hoping to take the car a new direction. The old build thread is missing a bunch of information and pictures so we might as well start fresh here. I sold the complete airride setup and wheels to completely redo the suspension underneath the car. All of the bushings in the rear end were original to the car and needed some attention badly. The car was still fun on air, but as most can probably guess, the car can only be driven so aggressively and I was looking for something a bit more. I had the air on the car for 4ish years and it was practical for what I was doing with the car at the time, but now left something more to be desired.

    New setup:

    -Full GC/koni 5 lug conversion 550/750
    -e36 M3 front spindles
    -New e36 M3 control arms
    -AKG 95a poly offset cabs
    -New Tie rods
    -AKG 95a poly subframe bushings
-AKG 95a poly trailing arm bushings
    -318ti rear trailing arms
    -new wheel bearings front/rear
    -Diff flush
    -AKG 95a poly diff mount
    -New FEQ axles
-ST 22/19 sway bars with reinforcement tabs
    -Style 5's with 235/40's

Looking forward to this year. Would also like to see an s54 in it at some point. Maybe down the road!

    Old, tired subframe out

    Bushing removal the fun way

Subframe with a coat of paint along with diff cover

Looking forward to seeing the new direction you go with this. Going more track set up or just something fun to drive?

Can't wait to follow this Nick. Thanks for getting this started. I have a feeling yours will move along a little quicker than mine. Do you plan on having the car running for springtime?

It was nice meeting you the other day and I am excited to move on with your wheels!

Jealous of your lift! Gonna be sweet, I hope you got the struts shortened or that they already are shorter with the 5lug conversion. Mine is almost bottomed out with stock height struts

Something fun to drive, but it will see the track.

The car should be running here in a few weeks hopefully! It was great to meet you as well, can't wait to see your build come to life!

They are shortened from GC. Just noticed your truck in your sig, ill have to check out the build!

Rear end all put together with the bushings. I opted for AKG's trailing arm bushing tool and it worked great. With a 1/2" impact the job was cake. Highly recommend it.

Waiting for the diff to dry before I bolt it up.

22mm front, 19mm rear ST bars and the poly offset cabs pressed into the lollipops. After doing this, wish I would have just gone with the treehouse setup but I wanted to save some money. Would of saved me some time and smacking my hand with the hammer a couple times and cleared up some room for my headers but oh well.

                    GC's

Plan for tomorrow is to put the rear end back in the car and if the control arms come in the mail I should be able to assemble the front.

Simple cleaning up and painting of parts provides such a wonderful element of clean and attention to detail to a build.

Rear end back in the car assembled with the 19mm rear bar and adjustable end links.

Hung a control arm for a quick pic.

All parts are here minus tires and rear brakes. Going to work on finishing everything up and ordering tires here soon.

Cool man, it's good to see cars evolve as the owners tastes change. I liked your car a lot before, it looked great and you did really nice work, but I'm betting it's going to me a lot more enjoyable now
