Great find and save! Amazing work so far on the resto.

Nothing compares to an old E34 M5 to me. Oh god , thanks for saving this one and keeping it OEM. I daily an old 93 525i to work , and it is the best for doing that in. I cant imagine having one with that S38 in it. Last of the hand built M cars in Garching and tank like build quality makes the E34 M5 a must own car for me. Those other BMWs at that meet cant even come close to the coolness of it. I did new front control arms with Powerflex Urethane bushings,which I was suspect of being too harsh,but they are perfect.

I know what you mean, I love everything about my E90, its like it "lets" you drive the car when really it could drive itself and gently wake you when you arrive.

However it has no soul, and I think I would be happier driving an old BM to work. Something about the older ones that seem really dependable.. like an old friend.

I have to agree with your statement.
Wife's E90 is "nice". Like a woman your mom wants you to marry but has a bit of naughty in her.
My E39t is a great road car. My first BMW. I'll probably never sell it.
My E30 is raw and fun. I love to drive it just about anywhere!

In my opinion the turbines are what makes the car! Great job so far, owning a silver e34 m5 is on my bucket list.

I love this car so much but there is a weird and pretty strong feeling that makes me more excited about the M5. :devil: I love how stiff and mechanical it is comparatively. The 335 is really smooth and quiet, of course it pulls like a maniac, its in great condition, every single thing works and its a gorgeous color combo... yet still, this old clunker E34 is alternatively extremely attractive.

Played with the car for a while this weekend.

I have a power steering leak so I wanted to poke around and see where it was coming from. Looks like this line right here... I threw on a new hose clamp and I'll see if that helps anything.
