Little more work done last night. Finally put together the front subframe. E36 m3 rack, E46 control arms and condor offset bushings, DIY reinforcements on motor mounting area.
Still need to drill out the hole for the alignment pin on the motor mount and widen the opening to get the the bolt for the mount but it's ready to go in. Rear subframe is next as well as front frame rails and rear subframe mounting area to get cleaned up and coated. Still waiting on coilovers and little things for the suspension. Still debating on getting away bars or keep stock ones. No real need for going sideways. Once suspension is done I get to move to brakes

If this car ever moves under it's own power again, I will be amazed.
You've bit off a lot here, and haven't shown much in terms of clear direction or follow through.

        Please prove me wrong.

Might take a while. But it's not impossible. The main problem as far as progress is time and money, as with all projects. It's a nice learning experience. Mainly just trying to do everything I know I've wanted to do to the car. Aiming to have everything completed suspension wise within the next month or so and move to brakes, cage, interior(seats lol), etc step by step. As you have seen ,I'm gonna save drivetrain and power plant till the end since I've been so indecisive up till now. Honestly haven't been updating this fully up till now so that might also be why I seem to have no direction hahah. But thanks for the optimistic "please prove me wrong". I aim to do so haha

I have no idea what I'm doing

Put some work in this past week and weekend. Finally got the car to a rolling state.
Still have a few things to finish up before the suspension is 100% done but it rolls.

Coilovers are "stance" coilovers. I planned to get true rear coils but received OE style and just decided to go with it.

The tierod spacers added a decent mount of angle but I'm still throwing the idea around of modding the knuckle since I still have a toe problem because the e90 Inners seem to not have enough threads to adjust in. Eliminating the rod spacer would fix that but I would loose the angle, but I have time to fix that problem down the road.

Plans are to start on the braking system, rear drivetrain as well as the tube front/rear end and cage.

not to bash on your welding bud but I would reconsider that weld ok the strut tubes. if you get a chance bring them up to my place and we can clean them up. otherwise it looks good man, glad to see you working on it.

I actually thought about that after the post.i ground and rewelded them but never took a pic of it. But I will hit you up when I get my pan to shorten and widen it [emoji1303]

I have it mostly figured out and mocked up I just need to tack it, check it, then weld it up but I've been taking a break on it.

                          This.

I wouldn't drive the car like that, there is absolutely no penetration in those welds.

I understand you said you ground it down and redid it, but I highly recommend taking this guy up on his offer to check it out for you.

If I did another e30, it would be a turbo m50. The engine is capable of anything you could ever want to make when done properly.

And that's coming from someone who did a 5.0 swap on his last e30.

Oh I completely agree. Actually had it redone with a buddy of mine who came over to weld up some obd2 headers of mine. He welds nuclear tanks and what not hahaha.

That's good to hear. I am glad I stepped away from the v8s to the i6. Simple install and mounting plus I already have knowledge of them. It should be a fun car when done
