    Bottom end basically together. Waiting to get the head studs before I can get the lower oil pan and lower, outer timing cover on.

    She's a beauty.

    M6x ones are the same part #. Looked into the M52 bolts/studs but they are 25mm shorter bolts. M10x75 vs M10x100 for M70.

    It's apparently a FedEx thing. I ordered from BMW. So I guess we'll see how it shakes out. I'm dead in the water until those damn bolts get here, unless I wanna pay 2x as much a get main bearing studs....which I don't.

    Don't blame him, USPS has been stupid for long before him..

    Hell, we got Hartge parts that are somewhere between Kent, Washington and Portland, Oregon. But they won't do sh*t until it's been TWO WEEKS.

    Got my recoated bearings today. Man they are pretty!




    Only hold up for getting the bottom together is the main bearing cap bolts from BMW.....something happened between here and Germany and they are trying to track them down now....

    AFAIK,,,, the M52 bolts share the same number as M70,,, at least on the package i got from Victor Reinz,,

    So looks like the head bolts for the M50/2 are M10x95mm. Bolts for the M70 are M10x110mm.

    I found that the bolts for the M54 are M10x110mm, so since both the M54 and the M70 are aluminium blocks I should go for the M54 stud kit, x2.
