So I bought my first non-hi res laptop, a Lenovo Yoga 260 for working on the car and maybe trying my hand at an Arduino because the 2018 MacBook Pro TouchBar is too nice to touch with greasy hands. I feel sorry for those running a 1080p screen on Windows. I might resize all the pics to be under 1920x1080 constrained. Also as a IT specialist, Apple NEEDs to step up their game. I am joying the trackpoint and touch screen with tablet ability. Hmm, maybe once a trackpad comes along that is as good as Apples, I shall switch and then virtualize OS X instead...

Any thoughts for that? I'll also be eventually filling in a few more blanks in the OP from later posts that should get merged in the first several such as showing the Airbox modification, or brake setup etc...

Damn, the AP RACING abs compatible Master Cylinders are 8 weeks out. I am just going to toss Tilton 76s in for now, maybe later upgrade to a Tilton hanging pedal solution that is a touch easier to work with.

Looking into installing an MK60 now too

So found this gentleman that will sell a kit with necessary hardware to adapt the MK60 wheel sensors AND modify the E30 steering column to work with the steering angle sensor:

On top of this, since my wife is over me working on the car, my shop has been helping (IE me paying) for them to finish this.

I forgot to tighten a hose clamp to the heater core, and when pressure testing my modified radiator for the lower coolant outlet sensor, found a leak...in my cabin again. Yay!

Don't know if it will be worked on next week as my main guy Chris (THANKS BTW you are a huge help on and off the track!) is out. I was hoping this week. Maybe 2 now?

Its always something! At least it happened in an environment where it can be dealt with and not on the side of the road with coolant all over your feet.

I pressure tested my system multiple times before getting every leak taken care of. I know for a FACT that I'll find some more leaks once I start driving the car. Add some heat and expansion to the mix and all sorts of fun things should start happening LOL!

I'm so nervous about that. I changed my heater core, changed the gasket, tightened and rechecked everything. So far no leaks but really havent driven the car.

Really scared about that with a brand new carpet in there!

I tested is as well, but took things off to do more work....

I am over getting frustrated, things happen. I'll take the carpet and IHKA out again to clean it.

Took my car over the weekend while we wait for an AC hose to be made.

First note, stock sport mode is undrivable with this lightweight flywheel, derlin engine and trans mounts and poly suspension.

I spent some time softening tip in for sport mode yet made normal a touch better for rev-matching. Sport and Normal mode do have difference beside just throttle mapping.

2nd note, Cruise control works as I thought it would! I am going to see if I can wire in the clutch, maybe in series somehow with the brake?

Exhaust is ....nice. Raucous yet fun.

The light weight flywheel might have been a bit much for the street.

Boosterless brakes with help from Gary at Tilton. He said my car was heavy. It is for a "race" car yes. It is livable but not something I would have my wife or joe schmoe drive. It will be nice on track but will be work figuring out heal toe again.

With the skinny 215 40 17 tires for street, you do not even need to punch second to squeal tires to redline. Was squirmy enough I need to relearn the car or just use better tires.

My speedometer is quite off...hmm. What to do as mine is not the type with a pot to adjust. It will be more accurate with the 235 40 17s but not enough. Maybe I can remap it and have Bavrest print out one accurate for the 235s which is what I want.

                    Pics/vid coming soon

Woot, video to show it drives. No WOT shenanigans yet, but you get a taste:

Yup, was ready to defend. Don't want to take someone head on from the opposite way. I've lost a few friends on this road already.

So you were stubborn and driving below speed limit and not letting anybody pass you lol

No one tried to pass which was nice for once. I went "55" the entire way.

Sounds fantastic on the video. That tall shifter is wicked. Awesome.
