I'm digging the setup. Have fun tomorrow during this car's maiden voyage!

Well the race was rained out. Anyways yesterday got the axle swapped and removed the rats nest that was under my dash.

      Rats nest

That's better. Rats nest was an alarm system.

Well it was almost a successful removal. My doors will not lock anymore. So I will have to track that down Haha.

Got the E30 home where my wife quickly claimed it and named it Helga.

Took the chrome flares off right away and installed my mtech wheel. Today hope to fix the brakes or at least find the issue.

              Should be a fun project.

Looks like the weather will hold out for most of tomorrow. AutoX in the morning! Decided to bump up a class so we shall see how it goes.

Autocross was great today. I moved up a class from the last time I raced to get a little more competition and won! I was competing against a 135, E30 vert with s52, stripped E30 with built m20 and a m235. Had a great time racing with them. Here are some pics from the event.

Wish I had some better actions shoots but I will take what I can get.

Overall very happy with the car. I did have some fuel starvation issues so I will run more gas in the tank next time and see if that fixes it. If not I will look into a better fuel delivery setup.

Nice driving man, I know from experience that it's no small feat to beat those cars, especially in an M42 powered car.

My car cuts power turning left if I'm low on fuel.

Left turns? That seems weird to me since the fuel pump is on the right side of the car. Any ways mine happened on right hand turns.

So the m44 crank was done for weight or am I missing something? I thought people preferred the m42 crank since it's forged and the m44 was cast?

Edit: Nevermind I see it's probably about a 1lb. less.

The m44 crank has a longer stroke. I just took all of the m44 internals and put them in a m42 block making the m42 a 1.9 liter instead of the 1.8. The main reason I wound up with this is because I waited 4 months for new pistons that never came and I had a m44 in my garage haha.

Ok raced again this last Sunday in College Station with there car club and the Houston SCCA group. I competed in STX and managed to pull off another 1st! I was competing against 2 BRZ's. One was real quick but just couldn't put together a clean run. Here is a video of my fastest run if this works haha. I spent a decent amount of time on the rev limiter on this course. I am definitely driving faster than before so if it continues to happen I will look at changing the diff ratio but we shall see. But 2 for 2 so far with the new chassis. And I put more fuel in this time and didn't have any starvation issues.

Driving it yesterday though revealed I have a front wheel bearing on its way out. Has a good bit of play in it. Parts should be here tomorrow and replaced this weekend if all goes well.

Maybe I glazed over it, but do you have a thread on the original chassis that details suspension, wheels, tires, etc.?

I do not have a thread on the original chassis but I can give a quick over view.

                                Spec E30 suspension.
                                -Bilstein sport shocks
                                -H&R Race springs
-E90 top hats if I remember correctly
                                -ST 22mm&19mm swaybars
                                -IE Camber plates
                                -15x8 Kosie K8R 20mm offset Wheels
                                -225x45x15 Rival S tires
-Revshift bushings everywhere(suspension and drive train except guibo, the
softest bushing they have. Currently running stiffer motor mounts but do not
like them. I have the softer ones ready to swap back in.)
-ZHP steering rack (one of my favorite mods)
-Sparco steering wheel. Don't remember the diameter but small
                                -4.10 LSD
-BMW short shifter. Z3m or Z4 not sure which one it was in the white chassis
when I got it. But it is as short as you can run with out raising the mounting
point. 5th will touch the driveshaft if you push down on shifter.
                                -Stop Tech brake pads

I think that is everything not engine related. It drives like a go kart and I love it haha.
