Made some more progress - part 3
Finally got working, new, seats. Ordered them from apexperformance, free s/h, no tax. :thumbup: I really wanted microsuede option but they were on back order for 2+ weeks, so I had to get them in cloth (didn't want leather) in time for next autox. Corbeau TRS, regular size.

Not a bad packaging job, no damage.

dual locking sliders / mounting brackets

mounting was pretty straight forward

using factory belts for now

ready for install

installed

They are pretty comfortable and bolsters are high enough to keep you planted. Good seats for the money imho. I know they aren't baller Recaros, but this isn't a show car and seats aren't some made in china ebay specials so they will do for now.

I gotta learn how to weld, I want a nice manifold for the m10, I hate the stock manifold and the location of the TB. But for the $ I wonder if it makes sense to turbo it vs. m50 swap, should have more hp but would it run ok on a track in 100F weather is the question..Leave a comment:

Turbo M10 FTMFW.
Especially since you ruined the car with those boring plastic bumpers.
Haha. J/K. Except about the turbo.
Do it or BAN!

I have a chance (lol) to pick-up a complete m10 from a one owner with about 100k on it, I checked it out under the valve cover and it's got no gunk , it's clean. Considering that my tranny has a new clutch, flywheel and master/slave cylinders would it make sense to get the m10 and have it "refreshed" with all new gaskets and a simple head/valve job to try and get the most out of it ? Guy is only 3 miles away from, engine (intake manifold to oil pan) is in his garage so it's not out in the dirt under elements or anything, he is asking $200 cash.
Another option is to turbo the engine in the car, and let it be the test mule and build up the 2nd m10 on a side with new parts etc.
For some reason I am thinking about going this route would be simpler than doing an m50 swap ??Leave a comment:
