Wow, didn't think my slow 84 will get so many nice replys! :D or is it the wheels lol.

that is one damn fine E30 you've got there!! I'd polish the lips on the rims to match the chrome window trim, swap some euro bumpers on there and call it a day! keep the pictures coming!

I've done a dash swap, it's not that hard, it just takes a long time. The only difficult part is remembering where everything goes, and how each part bolts up.

That's probably one of the best looking '84 318's I've ever seen. I think the rims are a huge part of its style.

A couple things I want to tackle next and would like to hear suggestions or ideas on how you guys might have already done this. I've taken the front bumper/ bumper shocks off and to just clean the front end from dirt/grime. Has anybody tried making a replacement for the bumper shocks out of same diameter metal pipe, the bumper plate on the shock is removable so it can be attached in a similar fashion to the pipe with a metal bolt so it pivots the same but the other end will need to be welded.

Wondering if this would be easier than drilling them ?

Another thing I can't find is the aftermarket front bumper plate filler piece that's attached in place of the license plate holder, I tried bmaparts/bmpdesign/craigslist/ebay to no avail. I was thinking about making one from a spare front bumper molding cut to length, would that work ?

you and a bunch other guys around, my suggestion is call bavauto, they're the ones that used to carry them , or i will trade you mine bumper included for a newer 89+ front bumper .:pimp:

Its easy to just modify the shocks. I took them out, drained the oil from them, compressed them to a predetermined measuered point, then I welded them so they will never change position. A little paint then reinstall! This is the right way to do them IMO.

Look at the negative camber, GC plates are set to -2.5, still need to replace tie rod ends before I get it aligned .
