I really really like the rt615s. I've had the ecsta 712s, then eagle f1s gs3ds and dunlop sport maxx on the daily (and toyo t1r on the s2k), the rt615s blow all of those away.

I know it's still pos with the m10, but soon enough it will have more hp...

Made some progress - Part 2

This was a big royal pita to do. Front and rear (trailing arms to upgrade from drums to discs) brake job, new rotors and lines, brake flush, lsd swap (3.64 open to 3.73 lsd)
          Car on the lift

Solid vs Vented front brembo rotors

Ready for calipers to match the vented rotors and new soft lines

          Bling bling

Drums? we don't need stinking drums

Smaller diff out of 318i on the right vs 325i s3.73 on the left

The view that will hunt me for days or weeks

          Done for now.

Way to go Jean , you are making some real progrees there .

I know what you are going through as I just went through an extensive mod/maintenance frenzy for my 318 as well since auto-x season is upon us .

Did you section the rear bumper like the hardcore swappers do ?

drifty340i - it fits fine. although m10 doesn't have power to spin tires in 3rd it can still do it in 1st and 2nd just a bit lol. I wanted to get one in there at the same time with the trailing arm swap and will use this diff with m50.

Court M3/ Teaguer - thanks man! I will be cutting the end caps once I get euro trim, for now it's off by about 1/2" and is held by zip ties.

The mounting points on the lsd diff are exactly the same, so it was just a matter of removing 4 bolts from the top, disconnecting the drive shafts on each side and removing the long bolt/nut on the diff cover bushing. The 3.73 is much heavier than the open diff though so have a friend or someone help line it all up.

The rear disc conversion also was all pretty much a remove/replace job. The brakes lines connect in the exact same spots so no custom fabrication or anything is needed. The 325i trailing arms I removed from a car with the parking brake cables to make the swap easier. I will be removing them one more time sometime in the future to replace all the bushings, I had the stock rubber bushings for the trailing arms but couldn't find a set of subrame bushings that I purchased :(

Doing a heater bypass, need to get a small tube today to connect the two heater hoses together. Also was trying to find a nasty rattle from the front passenger side, I think it's the back of the glove box as it appears to be cracked....

What the heck am I going to do with all that empty space now, if I was still into car audio I would mount a single 8 or 10 upfront

What coolant is safe to use with BMW engines other than the $20 a gallon bmw coolant ?

I've got plans for where my heater core sits in one of my cars as well, so much space back there. Mobile command center?

In regards to coolant, any coolant really. Of course the purists won't say that.

                                Good work.
