After all that well more bad stuff happened :(
i got home from a test run going into boost finally without leaning out or detonating but i should have taken it easy because clearly something wasn't right
i pulled into the driveway to see the oil catch can pouring smoke
i did a compression test and bad compression in 4 out of 6 cylinders

I thought I blew a head gasket so I pulled the head and had it checked... it was pretty bad so they decked it
I also decided to o-ring the block as well while I was in there and after I reassembled everything my compression didn't change at all

No I'm working on rebuilding the motor with all forged internals and since I couldn't find forged 130mm rods To keep my 2.8L I decided to go all out and up it to 3.1L

      Here are some specs
      +1mm Ross racing Pistons
      135mm Eagle rods
      S52 crank
      1000cc Injector Dynamics injectors
      Nuke fuel rail
      Walbro 255 in tank
      Bosch 044 external
      -8AN fuel lines
      Devils own meth injection

I'm hoping to make her as "reliable" as I can for all this powa!

id recommend against the ross pistons, they are kinda crappy quality, you can see the comparison in my build thread. the je pistons i'm using are pretty nice.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Too late I already have them but thanks for your opinion
Is your Ross racing in the middle like it says beneath the picture?
I did read your build thread before and isn't the JE the one that broke?

correct on both counts. The ross piston has a very basic crown. I don't know enough about it to speak intelligently about the piston design, but I like how the je piston directs the combustion around the spark plug like the stock style pistons instead of being flat on top

I'm sure that has to do with the compression ratio they are specified to yield
My Pistons look more like your JE Pistons on the left
I'll get some pictures up tonight when I have time

I just dropped all the parts off at the machine shop!
Now let the wait begin

While I wait I'm planning to install my one touch window switches and button up the interior

Cool build man. I can't wait to see it in person when the weather gets good.
