I will at some point.
Converted an e46 M3 shift knob over to my e30 shifter housing. Should go nicely with my M62 / 6MT conversion.

I did have it light up. I tapped into the ashtray light wiring for power. I left the original plug on the shifter and found a plug to match and wired that into my car so the shift knob/boot was easily removed.Comment

you may want to mod the ends of the narrow strip above the bumper to add slots on the bottom of each end for a body nut. your 771 USDM DB valance has them - 2 body nuts and screws on each end, top and bottom of the narrow bit. without that lower screw, the gap between the fender and the valance on that narrow strip is not as clean.
my repro 772 is missing those the lower sides of each end, where the fenders are screwed to the front valance. looks like your OEM 772 is missing them too. If you do decide to mod it so it works like the 771, make sure it's before the parts are all painted.I BUY/SELL REFURBISHED CM5907s & CM5908s

Not sure exactly what you mean. Maybe it will make more sense when I go to mount it? I am going to install everything and then uninstall and prep for paint.you may want to mod the ends of the narrow strip above the bumper to add slots on the bottom of each end for a body nut. your 771 USDM DB valance has them - 2 body nuts and screws on each end, top and bottom of the narrow bit. without that lower screw, the gap between the fender and the valance on that narrow strip is not as clean.

the spot right where the fender and the narrow strip above the bumper meet, just above and outboard of the marker light, below the low beam headlight. the fender wraps around the narrow strip. the fender is screwed to the narrow strip just outboard of that gap. on the US diving board valance there are 2 screws on each end. with the 772 valance only 1 screw is used, so the fender might not sit flush.Last edited by bradnic; 12-27-2017, 03:53 PM.I BUY/SELL REFURBISHED CM5907s & CM5908s
