Let me preface this by saying: I don't know anything about intake manifold design.
With that shape at the rear of the plenum, will #6 have the same airflow as say #3?

I know this is a BMW forum, so we'll say I'm prepping for the E30 picnic (I'll be there), but in reality, I'm getting ready for the iPd Garage Sale in Portland on the 18th. All Volvos, all day. I've convinced them to not have my car be part of the “judged” group, but allow me to pick Best of Show.
Anyway, there's gonna be some Volvo content and some E30 content over the next few days. This thread doesn't seem to get much traction anymore, so maybe my trigger warning doesn't matter. lol

adam.nonis I'll be interested to see what the HP / TQ numbers look like with your intake manifold / airbox. Could be *very* interesting to those in the E8x / E9x crowd. Especially if there's a way to route into the stock airbox.

Well, I didn't exactly take the time to photo journal the work I did. I decided last minute to try and make a carbon hood for my car. Materials arrived Tuesday at 11 and I was clear coating it by noon on Thursday.
I tried a different technique than I normally do. Instead of making a mold, I prepped and laid up three layers of carbon on the outside of the hood. De-molded that, then two layers of CSM on the inner structure. De-molded that, then bonded the two together. So, dimensionally it's slightly oversized from the stock hood, but there was room in the gaps.
