There's many things along the way where I could have saved serious cash, and that's all part of the learning experience. I've never done a resto before and I jumped into this feet first, without really having a plan.

If I were to do this again, I could probably cut 25% off of that, easily. Also, I'm counting specialized tool purchases in that as well.

A/C wiring figured out, for a fat dude in Louisiana, that's #2 to getting it running.

Most of the interior is in.

Aside from waiting on parts, I'll have it about 95% complete by the end of the weekend.

I have to agree, I think the black gives it a nice contrast with some of the other trim pieces. Looking good brother!

    I feel ya on this.

I would only paint them in color if I could fully disassemble one and do it right. I tried with one, and the case broke, so I made a practical decision and went with black.

It looks fine to me, they're mirrors, not going to sweat it.

Spent today fixing a variety of small items.

Mainly the transmission rear seal, and it's leaking from the damn shift selector, yet again. Fuck me.

Anyway, big item is got the trim on the driver's side, it was late, so I called it a night, I'll get the passenger side next week.
