Mine took a shit over christmas, and it's back together thanks for fiberglass, but it looks like utter crap, and there's no way it's getting painted anything remotely beyond satan because you can see where my mound of fiberglass was. LOL Better than nothing though.

Looks amazing man, you did an excellent job. I still ahve painters tape over my rear holes for the shrouds for the rear bumpers. I need to fill them or soemthing. LOL

Great work, This thread should be a pedigree for all looking to do this swap.

6 months, and that was because I was doing it all in my spare time, didn't really have the time to devote straight to it. And this thread will be copied, and edited to show only pics and info here pretty soon.

In a few weeks when it warms up, I am going to paint the upper section of the rear valence. The bottom will remain satin, as they were stock.

Satin looks like doo doo. Paint the entire thing gloss and get some side skirts to match the front lip.

+1. gloss doesnt mean more chips... i have my entire lower part painted gloss finish along with my front valence which is detextured and painted gloss body color, rock chips are no more present than before...

I would definitely do the half satin and half gloss. Looks great on black.

I don't want the entire thing gloss. Like I said, it will only be the top half. More gloss = more chips. Leaving the lower part satin will help hide them a bit more when they occur.

And I do plan to get sideskirts, just not sure which ones yet.

Looks good, get that trim back on. Painting that rear section with gloss black will look alot better.

It's painted satin black currently, I haven't decided yet if I want to go gloss on it. And if I do, it will just be the upper half that gets gloss, and the lower will be left satin, like they are stock.
