A friend of mine restored a 300 one of these about 5 years ago.

Fun little car.
He just recently finished restoring a Messerschmitt car.

Awesome! On first sight it looks like it's in pretty good shape.

It actually is, I'm very lucky! So far from what I heard from talking to a few owners most barn finds are in horrible shape.

Yeah I think it should clean up fairly well. It doesn't appear it has ever been touched before.

I've always wanted a 66 or 67 fastbak to resto-mod, but even the rolling chassis is about the same as my entire E30 build.

Ok ladies, here's where I'm at with my Isetta restoration.
Motor is out getting completely redone at an Isetta shop in Riverside,CA and the frame is getting done at Funfzehn Auto in Orange,CA. I am doing the upper half.

Been a fun project so far. Pretty much going blind into it from the start but it's coming along. Not a cheap project but the end result will be totally worth it!

I will post more pics as it comes together.
