Time for an update!
I started my weekend with some top down action!

I drove down to Redwood City, which is about 45 minutes away, to buy some used/never installed 255/35R19 Michelins A/S3+ to replace the oversized (goofy?) 275/35R19 on the car.

This machine was never designed to handle 19s and also the rims turned out to be reverse mount
OOPS!

After mounting the tires I noticed something that I should have caught sooner. The wheels on the car were a square fitment 19x8.5 ET40 all the way around
Hence why the rears always looked so weird. I borrowed some 25mm spacers to bring the rears out and test fit a 255 up front to see if I liked the look:

I decided to keep an eye out for a set of 255/35R19s to mount on the front and rock the square setup as I thought it looked great.
Not wanting to spend my whole Saturday wrenching on a car I went to go see my buddy Frank in Half Moon Bay. He owns 3 Citroens

and a 245!

Drive out there via skyline blvd was super fun, car handled great!

Enjoyed the pretty sunset over the pacfiic and headed home after a fun afternoon of car talk and burgers

When I got home I noticed my radio had arrived!!

I spent a few hours Sunday un-hacking the wiring harness for the speakers.

and finally, music!

(excuse the displays, it was 100+ degrees!)
Couple pictures from the next few days
Ugh heat

I love that this thing is street parked in SF

Went to go say hi to my buddy's shop who were working on some pretty cool cars

Ugga dugga

Renesis powered, Manga themed RX7 with lambo doors

Anyways, finally made it back to the shop and got some more work done. Living in SF, a trusty e-brake is something you want. Welp, i found out why mine wasn't

Luckily Autozone had the shoes in stock *whew*
Got an alignement:

Checked my subframe after reading too many threads online. As the seller stated, it seems to be in good shape. Still looking to install plates and new bushings at some point though.

Also took the time to replace my HK mids with the peerless units from aliexpress.
Before:

After:

Attempted to mount my 2 new (used/high tread) michelins on the front wheels. Got one on and womp womp womp:

Ended up returning them to the Ebay seller for a refund.
Friday night BMW meet had a pretty good turn out:

At the peak we had about 10 cars
PNP Score, new ashtray and console for $10!

And finally, before I bought the replacement tires I had messaged a seller on Craigslist about some OEM 19s with new tires. We had made a deal but I couldn't pick them up in time since he was all the way down in Mountain View. A week goes by, he goes out of town, I still can't make it down and he told me that he sold the set for more than my offer. I congratulate him on the nice sale and move on. I mention this because this last Saturday I get a text from him "buyer flaked, i'll sell them today for $200 off"

And that's how they ended up here:

They're wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Indy500 which is an awesome tire. AKA the Bridgestone Re003 Adrenalin that Mighty Car Mods seem to install on everything.
Funny enough, he saw my hardtop and fell in love since he had the same color M3 vert! Not having a place to keep the thing, except my bedroom in SF, we made a deal.
Saturday was also filled with helping freeride53 install a rear sway bar on his 318, parting out all the mods on my Abarth and installing them on other Abarths.

I also hung out with Kronus while he worked on a wagon (teaser shot)

I finally ended up leaving the shop at midnight

Sunday I kept my promise to my ex that I'd do the 30k service on her Abarth

his and (ex) hers
And that amigos, was enough car shenanigans for a few days
