The belt routing needs to be redone, if you haven't already. The idler pulleys should only see the backside of the multirib belt. It's hard to explain how they actually go... maybe if you search for pics in the 24v section or on bimmerforums you'll see what I mean.

Man I hate squeezing my hand down there because it's such a tight fit to get an allen wrench down there to release the tension on the belt tensioner.

          Thanks man.

Those pig f*****s! I had it right the first time. I didnt think the ribs should be on a smooth surface like that. Ah well, back in for more knuckle slicing work. Damn radiator fins kill!

            And she runs!!!

Put the battery back in, cranked it and nothin. "Oh yeah, gotta build fuel pressure" Once the pressure was close, it turned right over and idled. Just fine and dandy! Woot woot!

Now its buttoning up stuff time, and putting my fenders hood etc on as well as an exhaust and diff swap. we'll see how much time I have, may run the 2.93 open up to the picnic, get insano gas mileage. hah.

First engine swap and it turned over on the first try. I just wanna go drive it! but I cant yet :(

I spotted my knuckle in those first pics.

We just finished installing a 95 M3 rack in my brother's car but instead he went with the aluminum disc and you really don't pick up very much vibration as compared to the rubber one though the response is much nicer.

How do you like yours so far?

This was BS. Had everything lined up, installed etc. Was down to bleeding the clutch and for some reason it wouldnt bleed right. With a lot of swearing and fiddling we tried several things, but it came down to the same thing, the whole clutch assembly was already compressed somehow.

So after working on this until 2 am sat night, I threw a towel at it for 2 days until yesterday.

We pulled the tranny, and sure enough, the throwout bearing was the wrong size with the sport clutch. So back tobether it all went and with a new slave to boot. Tidied it up last night about 1 am.

Gonna hammer out a few more things like reinstalling some of the suspension etc before I throw it back on the road.

I dont have the open 2.93 in there anymore. I have a 3.73 lsd.

I am using the 320i booster, and green 535i mounts.
