Only the E28 M5 and the E24 M6 had the battery in t trunk all the other e28s and e24s had them in the front left corner of the engine bay. The E12s also had them there and the 2002 cars.

E30s were the first BMWs to have batteries in the rear. :) (and 84 M635)

bmw had the battery in the front on the 318s?? are they the only ones?
