And he calls 1 year procrastination.
Most people on this forum have a garage full of parts, owned a car for half a decade, and still read r3v to get ideas.
I am not going to point fingers, so i don't expect any pointed at me for this.
Awesome progress, neat parts.Comment

Its basically taken me a year to do a 5 lug swap. I think that is worthy of the term procrastination.Originally posted by Simon SWhen a dream is a dream for too long - it becomes a fantasy..Comment

Some more progress...
Rear end is done and back in the car. Just need to finish the parking brake and rebuild the rear calipers and she should be good to come down off the stands.

Added some mood lighting LED's from the E39 domelight.
mood lighting portion of the E39 domelight:
looking down into the led shrouds:
LED's and resistor removed:
shrouds cut away from the rest of the housing:
Took apart the maplight mirror but didnt like what I found:
So I decided to go here:
Pretty simple wiring, just tied into the ignition power on the sunroof (the E39 is the same way, on with ignition):
Directly underneath, looking straight up:
I dont remember my E46 being this bright. We'll see how it goes, I may play with the resistor value to tone it down a bit.
Overall, I'm pleased with the results. I'm kind of a stickler for the factory appearance and it doesnt look out of place in my opinion.Originally posted by Simon SWhen a dream is a dream for too long - it becomes a fantasy..Comment

Thanks Jean!
I've been a little worried about the rear fitment with my staggered style 5's. I finally got to the point where I could throw one on today and take a look. I think its going to work out fine. If not, I have a fender roller in the garage...
