    Here's what $200 got me

Well, $200 and a 1996 Honda Z50. One of my friends used to own it. I got it over the summer and I'm just now getting around to working on it. It's an 87 325. It runs, not well, but I've driven it. It won't idle until it's warmed up. After I get all the body work done, I plan on a turbo setup, as it should be cheaper/easier than an S52 swap.

I would have taken more pictures as I started stripping it, but my camera died. I pulled all the carpet and it's rust free on the inside. There's some rust on the C pillar driver's side, but that can easily be fixed.

Check out the seats, they're practically brand new.

My friend who owned it before me decided to glue this dash cover on it instead of getting a new dash board.

Here's what the real dash looks like, it's going to be replaced.

    Plans for the body:
I've always loved rat rods, flat black cars with black wheels, etc; and since I don't want to paint my E46 flat black, I figure I should do it with the E30. I photoshopped an E30 M3 for a general idea of what I want it to look like when I'm done.

A rat-rod E30 would be fucking SICK, with red steelies and chrome Moon hubcaps, with the whitewalls.

Shit, I might just have to find me a dirt cheap '84 318i and do just that... :D

And the worth of that car lies in those seats, they're M3 seats, pretty sought after because of the small differences in styling.

Screen name is the same as it is on here

I don't think I have my old sig saved on my computer anymore, but I used to have an Alpine White/Tan 2002 BMW 325i. It wasn't really modded for the most part, it just had the Ci trunk spoiler.

Seats can be M3 or vert seats .

If they don't fully recline then they are vert seats .

Said the same months ago. I didn't think it would fly here though.

I think it totally would. But I could give two shits if it didn't.

I'd like to see how it turns out, no half ass shit, but still a rat e30 would be sick.

I think I might actually knuckle up and do it, just have to find a cheap 318i with a straight body and shitty paint. Maybe after the 1st of the year.

I'm going to do the interior rod-themed, too. First thing is a 3' tall shift lever. :D

Or just try to find one of those "race" shifters someone was selling a while ago! JK, they were only like 8" tall or something...
