Nah the rear does'nt rub, but then again I have only wheeled it in and out of the garage. theres about 15mm-20mm in the rear from tyre to fender. I think I will be running 235 in the rear next tyre purchase insted of the 225.
The front rubs on the front adjustable collar, but only if I have it set on low low If I raise it its OK, but im still going to run 20mm spacers up front so I can use bigger brakes, I will probebly use MASSIVE's kit in the front and rear. I'll take some close up pics of the clearances.
Sweet! I cannot wait to see pics of this thing on the road. I am very close to pulling the trigger on my wheels. I do (I am shocked at myself) like the strech look on your tires. It looks nice. I am still fighting with myself on going 17 or 18.
Yeah had a local guy do the interior, he specilizes in show cars, low riders and that sort of thing. He took this job on as it was something diffrent. We both reckon it turned out really good, he used some new materials that his never used before.
Ok so I finnaly got my gearbox, I went with the ZF320, a 328i driveshaft and a M coupe LSD diff(3.25)
I spent the weekend putting in the new diff and driveshaft(still not complete but here are some progress shots. While I had the subframe out I took out the old bushings(with whatever tools I had lying around, did't want to wait till the start of the week before I could take it to a shop) and replaced the subframe and trailing arm bushings.
Here are the pic(Iphone shots, so sorry about the quality of some of these)
Bushings out.......PITA, I had black shit all over my face
New IE poly bushings, and painted subframe.
(Oh new bushings went in easy as, I wish I could say the same for removing them)
Diff, I had to change the output flanges
Nice fined cover, I wonder how this will hold up with it being so low to the ground.............
Old drivetrain, and new, I know a lot of you don't like the ZF gearbox's but I think if BMW brang out the S50 with one then Im going to put one back on(of course with some better bits, still waiting on them, Pics to come)
