    That cable also controls the shift points. If its not hooked up it wont shift right at all.

        What a great build and having the 5 speed in the vert is a blast. Keep up the inspiring build. The corrosion people in the north have to deal with is amazing.

                    Got the torque converter off and cleaned the rear of the block...installed a new rear main seal/gasket, and cleaned up the stock manifolds.







                    also started working on the smoked/crosshair hellas...

                        Jason,

                        I am actually enjoying the process, its been a heck of a learning experience and nothing like doing it right, only thing more I could do is tear down the engine...but not this time. :)

                          update...getting the motor back together

                          Flywheel mounted, clutch & pressure plate will go on tonight


                          Intake Manifold stripped and undergoing polishing... (this is going to take some time)


                          Lights going back together:




                          More to come...I'd like to put the motor back in this weekend...so we'll see!

                              Best of luck with it...and take your time, it can be frustrating, as I wish I was already driving and enjoying mine but time and life get in the way.. :)

                                Well as the world turns so do wrenches and other tools, and here is what has come of all the turning:







                                Engine/Tranny are unified once again, but this time manual and ALL new seals! :), oh and a fresh coat of paint.
