Thar she blows!!!
She's running very well....cranked up second try...forgot to hook up the starter...doh!
I'll have her on the road either tuesday or wednesday, I need to finish the exhaust hanging and bleed the clutch.
OH...and I was getting smoke from the manifolds...I think the combination of new gaskets and manifold paint may have caused it...manifold shot for sh!ts and giggles
Other pics..
Thanks to all that helped/supported...:) The real grin will be when I put her in gear the first time...Manual Tranny FTW!!
OH...there is one problem thus far...tachometer is not working...maybe its a fuse, but who knows..BMWCCA #389756

Sweet!
The burn off from the exhaust manifold could be a little from your painting but its usually the oils and grease on them left by your hands after the install.
Always liked this project. cant wait to see some good photo shoot pictures at some point.Comment

More than likely on the grease, and thanks for the interest in the project, and I too am looking forward completion and pics...BMWCCA #389756

I have a feeling its related to a blown fuse, as my reverse lights weren't working either and it seems they share a fuse, so I'll check that tonight and update regarding...I hope I can get a jump on the clutch as well...BMWCCA #389756

Damn dude! Lot going on here since last i checked. Wish i could come lend a hand, but you've seen all the projects we have here.
Hopefully we can do a vert cruise sometime soon. Can't wait to see yours in person. Let us know if you need any misc odds and ends when you're finished. The parts cars have come in handy with Vlad's reassembly. Lot's of insignificant pieces were robbed from them.turk@gutenparts.com
