Thank you! Its amazing to finally see this thing as one piece! I hope to finish it by next weekend or the following week :)

It will probably take another 2 weeks to get it up and running in the black car.

I can't wait to be driving this!

Ah its been a while yet again :)

Its pretty much complete except for a few odds and ends. I need to get the valve cover bead blasted, I need to get some new bolts for mounting the accessories and some other shit I can't think of at the moment.

Quite helpful in the build process:

I didn't have them cleaned..they only have like 30k on em...no point in spending the money.

$650 for a head job??? What are you asking them to do?

                  I paid $250 for:

                  3-angle
                  Bead Blast
                  Re-assembly (minus cams and retainers)

                      $520??

Are you having him completely disassemble it and reassemble it?

You can save some money by taking out the cams, lifters and retainers.

The other machine shop that did work for me wanted to charge me $500 for a valve job and a bead blast..and that was if I brought the head COMPLETELY disassembled.

Motor will be done by the end of the week, I'll try to throw up a pic or two tonight.

Here's some progress from the weekend. The black car is fully ready to accept the 24v!

I apologize for crappy cell phone pics in advance, I forgot to bring my cam with me.

that arm you have bolted onto the motor mount arms is supposed to be on the block to the right.

Lots of progress yesterday! I asked a friend of mine to come by and help out cause Sam was out of town.

Front subframe complete, just have to attach left caliper. Koni shocks in :)

                                Clutch and flywheel mounted.

We had to build an odd contraption because thunderstorms were in the forecast. It was the best we could do with w/e wood we could find at the moment.

                                Mating of tranny and motor

Rolling engine underneath, literally had a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles hair of clearance!

                                Lined up

                                And its in!!!!

Thats all for now folks...gotta order some more stuff.

Does anyone know if I can use the o2 sensor from the 318is?
