So i decided to upgrade to 1/2 watt resistor. I bout 470, 560, and 680 ohm resistors. I got kinda greedy and tried the 680. Seemed to work fine and got rid of the hiccup at 5500 at 8.5psi. Went to go for a drive tonight and it wouldnt idle. Threw the 560 back in and its fine. back to about 7, 7.5 psi and its fine.

Got MS finished!!!!! (i think) I got the adapter all done. I just have to figure out if my board is set up right and then go through all the tables again. I also need to get a battery for my laptop cause as soon as theres no power to it, it turns off. Its really hard to crank the car and see whats happening cause theres no power to my cig lighter when cranking. BALLS

So i figured out with my 550ohm resistor i can get to about 8ish psi with no problems. Schweeeetttt.

With cold tires, you can spin em in second which is pretty cool. :)

Boost is addicting. I already want more. 8 psi is pretty fun though. i need to get my new hot side on so boost comes on a little bit earlier and i suppose ill be happy for now.

So obd2 coils mount differently than obd1 coils. Oh well. So i moved on to the MAF sensor. I started messing with different resistors just to the volt meter at idle and didnt really know how big to go. just driving around i found the MAF signal was up to about 5.15V at 5500 rpm so i knew it was maxing out.

So i clipped the wire and rigged up a 1k resistor. The voltage at idle only changed a little. So i threw in a 10k and the car wouldnt run. Tried a 330 ohm just too see and i had one laying around. I drove it this time and my volts at redline was 4.99. all missing/no more balls feelings were gone. So i decided to put in a bigger resistor to see what happened. Put in a 550ish ohm resistor and my voltage at redline is 4.75. Perfect.

So now i have a little head room to up the boost a smidge. ill get that figured out soon. Its great being able to rev to 6500 with no worries. :)

My next question is to figure out wether i should be using a bigger resistor than a 1/4 watt one. Its difficult to see if its hot too. everything on that side of the engine bay gets pretty warm to the touch :(

Thanks. Now i need to steal the coils off my dads car :) And if that doesnt clear up the missing up top its time to take a reading off the MAF sensor and probably finish MS.

    Donezo.

Finally made a gauge holder :)

    Leak test!

    Weird:

    Capped here:

Found some good leaks. The evaporative purge valve thing was leaking like a mo fo at the manifold. The fuel injectors leak at the manifold a little bit too.

Bled the brakes again and they feel better than they ever have!

    MS here i come...

Glad to see it together again. Are you using single stage?
